Mario games for GBA

um, yeah.

Anyway, I won this Best Buy gift card for 15 bucks, and I thought I'd spend it on a GBA game, since I only have 2 games for it. And I didn't have any of the Super Mario series, (and what's a gameboy without mario?) I thought I'd by one of those.

I just figured out that there's about 5 different Mario games, and I'm a bit confused. Can anybody reccomend any? Can you give me info about it? Thanks in advance.

I once played a little bit of Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and it was pretty good. It looks really childish, but if you're into Mario and RPGs then you should give it a shot.

These are the only 3 I could find, there are different genre's too, like karting, tennis, golf etc. These are good links which will give you alot of info on the games also.

I did have all 3 of these and they are very good.

The third Super Mario Advance title - Yoshi's Island.

Other Mario titles, not yet mentioned...

Mario Kart: Super Circuit

Mario Party Advance

Mario Pinball

Mario Vs Donkey Kong

...oh, and that old classic Mario Bros. game that Nintendo decided to overprice... -_-

But yeah, if you like RPGs, then Mario & Luigi: SS is a brilliant title.

Mario Kart, very good if you enjoy the series.

I'd go for Super Mario World (Advance 2) and Mario Bros. 3 (Advance 4), they are the two best Mario games ever. I loved them on SNES, and I love them even more being able to take them with me. If you like SMW, you'll probably like Yoshi's Island as well, which is SMW2 and Avcance 5 I think. Great games. I'd probably pass on Super Mario Advance. I'd never played it before I bought the GBA game, and it's short lived.

And Mario and Luigi is decent. I'm not much of an RPG fan, but that was good fun.

Oh, and ChaosAlert I agree with you on the overpriced thing. I bought my GBA games second hand, for the price they are here new I could buy a SNES system with those games; or a DS game. Ridiculous.

Hmm, thanks for the info, everyone.

I've narrowed it down to 2 and 4. Which one is gives you longer gameplay? I don't want to beat it in a day tounge.gif

SMA2 has a longer lifespan, which include secret levels (needed for full completion), Yoshi coin collecting...

Of course, those are optional.

SMA4 however... while shorter (imo), is MUCH better in terms of gameplay, and some of the levels are brilliant. The final ship levels on each world alone, is just worth it to buy this game.

Plus... it has the awesome racoon suit. wow.gif

I think it should stay open to further discuss these games.

I have SMA2, I can play that game over and over. Anyway, if you really want a mario game, just get super mario bros. It's the classic that started it all, and it's on GBA.
