these missions are crap, not even realistic at all, wtf, whos ever heard of chasing down a criminal and gunning him to death, especially in a freakin police car, they couldve made it more realistic like calling for backup, for an arrest tool, same with the fire truck missions, 4 burning cars, one firetruck? what was rockstar smoking, and why cant it be buildings too? the paramedic missions are a joke as well, what kind of bleeding patient sits in the back or the front seat of an ambulance, arent you supposed to be on a stretcher?

Do you want to die every time you jump out of a plane and don't parachute?

Do you want to catch yourself on fire and burn because you can't get to water?

The list goes on...

 

Those missions are just to raise your stats and get you a little bit of money.

My three reasons they're there:

 

1. A way to get a reward for skilled and patient gameplay.

2. To get 100%.

3. They were in previous GTA and people didn't complain.

You're a retard because you've obviously never played the trilogy of 3-D GTA. If you had, you wouldn't come into gtaforums flaming a game because "it isn't realistic."

Let me illustrate...

 

Rockstar. Your Vigilante, Firefighter and Ambulance missions are total crap. You know why? They aren't realistic enough. Do police men chase criminals and gun them down to death?

Do they do it in a police car?

 

uh.....yes.

 

Does a firetruck put out more than one one fire on a call?

 

uh.....yes.

 

Do patients on the way to the hospital sometimes not lie on a stretcher?

An option to call for backup in the Vigilante Missions.

Strechers in the Ambulance missions.

 

Yeah, like this mission doesn't already take enough time. Pretty soon you'd be complaining that CJ doesn't strap them down. The only thing that's really lacking from this is CJ yelling at the pedestrians to get the f*ck in the Ambulance because he is on a time contraint. Again, f*cking stupid.

 

Why can't we put out fires on buildings in the Firetruck missions?

 

Who cares, dingleberry. This is the way it has been since GTA3. In fact, this is the way it has been in all the aforementioned. I actually like the paramedic missions. The taxi & firetruck aren`t too bad, to me it wouldn`t be GTA without them. All the others, like racing , courier & some others weren`t as fun.

 

But my point is this. My opinion is that most of these side missions were added to appease video game magazine writers. They always go on about not enough "mini-games" or not enough to do or whatever. Whether or not GTA4 needs more or less mini-games, I can`t say.

With some realistic parts, and some parts totally unreal, overplayed or cynical and sarcastical...

i must agree they could at least make some effort to make those missions more interesting.

 

Exactly the same as in previous gta.

 

But its only a small thing if you must count all the crappy gameplay stuffs, some cheap gameplay ideas, the IA, the so numerous game bugs(to get it running fine without crashes for eg.) and the list is so long i ll just stop here.

 

I wouldnt tolerate the 1/10th of those bugs and crappy gameplay from any other game.

So why still playing it?

 

But If you find another game so big, so long to finish, where you are so free to do whatever you want, with so much different kinds of things to do, where you can drive from bicycles to helicopters, swim, run, crouch have choice between so many weapons, etc., than tell me the name of that game and i stop gta.
