LC-MP Step-by-step guide.

INSTALLING LC-MP

 

1) Right, so make sure you have Grand Theft Auto: Vice City installed and a GTAIII Play Disk. Go into your "C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games" folder and copy your Vice City folder, and then paste it.

2) Download GTA: Liberty City Here. Make sure you have the latest version!

3) Download LC-MP Here. Install it to your newly copied Vice City folder. Problably "C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Copy of Grand Theft Auto Vice City".

4) Once it's been installed, rename the folder with LC installed in it to "GTA Liberty City"

5) Go into your Liberty City folder and right click gta-lc.exe. Go down to "Create Shortcut", and click it, as so:

6) Once you have your newly created shortcut, right click the shortcut and go down to "Properties". Click it, as so:

7) You should see a box like this. In the "Target" box, go to the end of the EXE path, and put in "-showconfig' at the very end outside the parenthesis. Hit apply and OK.

8) Once that is done, close the box and double-click the shortcut, you should see a window like this appear. Simply put "-c -h *IP* -p *PORT* -n *NAME*" in the box, and replace *IP* with the server IP, *PORT* with the server port, and *NAME* with your name. Go to http://sa-mp.com/servers.php?lc for a list of servers.

9) Click "Launch Game". Have fun. If you cant connect, the server is down or you are running a firewall. Disable it.

 

 

FAQ's

 

Q: My game crashes! Help!

A: Make sure you delete the "vc-mp.flt" file in your \mss folder if you are trying to run LC-MP, and verify that lc-mp.flt is in there, if not, reinstall. If it still crashes, reinstall GTA: LC. Make sure you try running it in Single Player first.

 

Q: It asks me for a CD when I try to play.

A: go Here for support.

 

Q: Where can I find servers?

A: Go to http://sa-mp.com/servers.php?lc .

 

Q: I cant connect to a server! Help!

A: Verify that you have let gta-lc.exe and gta-vc.exe through your firewall and that all the server information is correct.

I can not get the multi-player to work. Whenever I open it I end up in the stadium and then it just closes and goes to my desktop.

I have that version and it still does it, any other suggestions?

Youre probably putting the parameters in wrong. In the top left make sure it says connecting to IP:Port. If it just says the port you put it in wrong. If that isnt the problem check your firewall(if you have one installed) to see if it is unblocked or not...

i did everything you said but when i load up the short cut the game loads up and not that thing where u put in the server you want to play in

Which version of GTA:LC do you have?

Make sure you get the latest version (5b)

i think u need to go into ur mss folder where ur gta lc is located and delete a file called vc-mp.flt. thats wat i did and it fixed it, i read it somewhere but dont remember were, maybe it was here but i dont remember haha.
