Dodge Boy City
Don't get me wrong, i love the car mod shops! But i just feel the game could incorporate them so much more! I mean, there's no missions involving modding cars, and certainly no one else in the game has a modded car. So, in theory, you could go all the way through the game without seeing one! Anybody got any thoughts on this? It'd be great if you saw a customised car driving around every now and then, or if certain missions required you to do up a car in order to pass it. There could have been so much more use for them...
Mxyzptlk
I'm pretty sure you have to mod cars for missions "Cesar Vialpando" and "High Stakes Low Rider" And then you steal cars for modding during the Wang Cars strand. I agree they aren't a very integral part of the game, but I wouldn't put too much weight on a brand new game feature... SA is a test run of the modding stuff, it can have a bigger role in the next game.
Dodge Boy City
It would be great for the next game - i agree. It is a great idea. Can you imagine though, instead of seeing 3 battered old Clovers on screen, one of them went past done up? As far as i remember, for Cesay you just had to find a LowRider didn't you? You didn't have to mod as far as i remember... Also, the Wang Car build up involved a lot of cars that you could mod at "Wheel Arch Angels", but again you didn't have to... original gangster
the moddings pretty basic, it could and should be improved for the new one. but i guess you cant complain, this is gta, not need4speed. its only been introduced, i think it will be better next time. i wouldnt expect massive upgrades like engines and performance upgrades, but who knows what they'll do. LLD
I'm glad it didn't get as in-depth with certain modifications. I know NOTHING about cars, so if the game was really realistic with wheel sizes and rims and all that crap I would be in way over my head.
PerfectDark
Another thing that's hopefully in the next GTA game is MORE FRONT BUMPERS then just alien and X-Flow. those get so boring looking at people's pictures with alien. and who the hell even uses Xflow front bumper? lol well i use the hind bumper but not the side skirt or front. :-/ btw i just figured out today why so many people are wrong in saying that GTA VC was GTA 4. Because: 1). GTA 4 is coming out soon. and 2). GTA 3, VC, and SA all run on the same engine, hence they are not 3, 4, and 5.
Simon.
Definitely not wasted, just not used well. I agree more could've been done with it, and I also think that there were not enough mods. Everybodies cars look far too similar, I'm definitely counting on GTA4 having more+better mods for us to use, and possibly even random cars modded up in the street . spectre01
i think they sould change the "underground street racing" mission to something else, like in vc, when u enter a race, u need to drive to the start point, and just can use center type of cars(like moded car or something), so it will make the car modding part more important.(or can some1 make a .scm file works, using the above ideas)
Dodge Boy City
and possibly even random cars modded up in the street Now -there's- a good car to steal My initial thought! Can you imagine just wandering about and seeing a nice lowered Clover instead of the beat up knackered ones that go about? It would be really good. Each car would have a more unique feel to it. It would be good if all registration plates differed too!!
Canoxa
2). GTA 3, VC, and SA all run on the same engine, hence they are not 3, 4, and 5. Why is there GTA2 then? And we don't even know if the name is GTA4.
GritSandWiches4Breakfest
I agree, but sometimes its fun of your bored. You can make some pretty good cars out of them.
