SmellyJelly
Sorry if it's already been posted, I just got an email from a co-worker. Coupon is for $90 off memory + installation (you have to pay for installation). Bestbuy currently has 512 meg sticks from Kingston for $54.99. $54.99 (ram) + $29.99 (installation) = $84.98 - $90 coupon = free I just got 2 512 meg desktop sticks, going to go back tonight and get another 2 sticks for desktops, and 2 for my laptop, and probably hit them up tomorrow for a few more desktop sticks. All my servers are going to have at least a gig of ram now Manager gave me a hard time saying that the coupon was faked, but I gave him the url I got it from, which happens to be on the Bestbuy domain, and got my memory. Coupon expires Saturday, let's try to keep this bumped till then Here's the url: http://images.bestbuy.com/BestBuy_US/en_US...oupon_combo.pdf http://boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs/genmessag...23409825&page=0 So can anyone confirm whether or not this is real? I think it might be, but I'll beleive anything and it seems to good to be true. Ok, I have some questions. Do you have to let them install it? When they say that you can save $130 on desktop PC accessories, does that mean anything? (videocard, harddrive, monotor, speakers, keyboard, motherboard, drives, GAMES, ect, ect?) Tornado Rex
Interesting... I printed out a few coupons (8 ) so me and a friend are going to head over to Best Buy now and try it. I'll let you know what I find out. ~ Proud Supporter of the Child's Play Charity! | GTANET + Child's Play ~
SmellyJelly
Remember to show them the site so they know the pic was hosted at bestbuy.com Are you allowed to use more than one at a time? Errr, wait, when they say $130 on desktop PC accessories, does that mean total for the ram, UPS, routers, ect? Also one the post in the topic says... no longer valid unless you buy a computer. i did this at my local best buy and since the manager wasnt there i was able to do it. I went back again to get another one and i went to a different register. the cashier wouldnt accept it so i said i wanted to talk to the manager. the manager then said that it was not valid unless you purchased a computer because "its basically like giving away free ram" (duh) after getting shot down while trying to get another one, i decided to call 1 888 best buy. **the CSR on the phone told me that the coupon was sent via email only and wasnt available off the website, and that it wasnt valid unless you got it in an email, and have proof that you recieved it in an email. he also told me that it is only valid with the purchase of a computer, and is only valid once. The CSR knew what coupon i was talking about before i could even explain. he said he got alot of calls about it. if you are lucky and find a best buy employee that doesnt really care or just doesnt know about it, you can probably still use it. so in the end, i still scammed my 56.00 ram from best buy. it worked 1 out of 2 times. good luck Edited September 9, 2005 by SmellyJelly

Except at this store apparently no-one had tried to use the coupon yet because the lady said "on the website it says with the purchase of a new computer". I was going to call her on that and say it was actually from an e-mail, but she kicked us out of the store before I could, and I didn't really feel like getting arrested for trespassing tonight I suppose some of that had to do with my friend trying to use 50 coupons to get a free printer. ~ Proud Supporter of the Child's Play Charity! | GTANET + Child's Play ~
SmellyJelly
I suppose some of that had to do with my friend trying to use 50 coupons to get a free printer. Your friend sounds like a geinus (sp?) Yea, I decided it's not worth it seeing as how my computer has 1GB anyways and it's speed is 3200. If I just buy 2700, (which is all you could afford for free because -$30 installation,) then it will lower the speed. Also my computer is too big to bring in and I'm not letting them touch it.
