basically for all of us ppl who cannot mod this thread is to show that a request page is pretty much pointless....doen anyone really make ppls requests?..umm...no!!!....thats wat i have personally experienced so wat do u other guys think?

I answered a few requests since I've been here, and offered help a few times. Learn to mod. Or at least don't pout about your laziness here.

I think "can't mod" isn't true, to be really blunt. Anyone can learn this stuff, even people like me. I have the worst ADD I've ever encountered and a belligerent attitude which obstructs communication, I still muddle through somehow. If you're just a blank slate you're already ahead of some see

 

You oughta just get learning to model, code whatever you like. Yeah, I personally do think requests are pointless though. It'll get made if the author wants to make it, otherwise unless you're paying them or something they aren't going to give the model the love they'd give their own project.

 

So why even. Ppl should make what they're really enthused over, and if they aren't YET able, alls there is to do about it is start learnin.

I've believed from the start that only reason it was made was as a dumping ground for the leeches too lazy to learn for themselves to post requests in so it wouldn't sh*t up the rest of the forum.

This forum is for exactly whats its named after - Requests of all kinds, and recruting for large projects, which is also a form of requesting.

depends on who you ask. i've nabbed a few ideas from here though. it would be unfair to say NONE of them get fulfilled, because that isnt true. however if most of the requests aren't being fulfilled, which i suspect is the case, who exactly are you going to blame? we can't MAKE people fulfill requests.

more fact than fiction. having requests strewn all about the editing boards got messy, if nothing else its atleast more organized now.

there aren't so many "bad" ideas here, as there are some that just aren't feasible, or possible, and people don't usually like to hear that kind of thing in their topics so its not always mentioned, if for no other reason than keeping the topic civil. other ideas sound like they were written by a acid-tripping 12 year old with ADD. I'll say this though, and it applies to everyone; if you have a mod idea you really, really want to see done, you'll most likely have more success attempting it yourself, than posting here and waiting to see the responses. GTA modders (the ones i know atleast, including myself) tend to work on their own projects as priority, and everything/one else comes second. i know thats a generalization, but in my experience its more often true than not.

Meantime yeah it does keep the place tidier. Ppl need to move on things if they wanna see them live though, that's just the way of the great magnet
