Isn't he number 90 something Close enough. I am gonna give it to you. Ron Artest had the highest jersey number last season which was 91 in honor of Dennis Rodman. Prior to that he wore #23 for 3 years in honor of Michael Jordan. This season he is wearing #93 with the Kings. Your turn Burning-Ice. - AJ Khan

GTA3Rockstar
Alright next question : What was the original name of NBA and who won the first championship when the leaguse changed its name to NBA? - AJ Khan I know the first part, it was the ABA... For some reason, I believe it was the Celtics that won the first NBA championship after the renaming, because they, I do believe, won the most championships or the Trail Blazers(I know they won one in the 70's)... ajkhan316`
Nope. ABA was a completely different league than the NBA. ABA was formed in 1967 and merged with the NBA in 1976. I am afraid neither of your answer is correct. - AJ Khan
Mafia Drive Gunner
Well, the Minneapolis Lakers won it, and the two organisations that made it the NBA were the NBL and the BAA. SO the answer is NBL or BAA. Final answer, it was called the NBL or BAA, and the Minneapolis Lakers were the first winners. -MDG

ajkhan316`
Didn't the merger officially take place in 1970 (although the agreement was announced in 1966)? If thats the case, then the first person to be selected AFTER the merger ie. in 1970 was quarterback Terry Bradshaw out of Lousiana Tech to Pittsburgh (as I stated earlier). Or do you mean the 1971 draft in which quarterback Jim Plunkett was selected out of Stanford by New England Patriots. - AJ Khan
D Jones
Hmmm, I heard that Steve Bartkowski was the first after the merge, but I guess I was wrong. Go ahead.

ajkhan316`
Yeah and that was like 5 years after the merger. In that 5 years, 3 of the overall picks were quarterbacks. Anyway the next question. Should be pretty easy for football fans. Name the only 2 siblings to be taken first overall in their respective years and which team took them. Add other stuff like the year and position if you want to. - AJ Khan
