WHAT!?
Right, so. I've never attempted to alter my GTA copies that I have on my Xbox. So maybe I just don't know what the hell I'm doing. Thats why I'm here before all of you nice folks. Anyway on to the problem... I copied my Vice City off of my Xbox hard drive and onto my PC. I deleted oceanic.dff and .txd from the gta3.IMG file and added the apropriate replacement files after I used txd workshop to re-save the txd for the car as a "VCXBOX" file. Now I proceed to install everything as you would on a normal PC version of Vice City. I edited the default.ide and handling.cfg with the data I wanted to use for the car. I also installed the DMagic wheel mod... So, I do all of this on my PC, then I delete the original files off of my Xbox and send my newly modded files over to take their place. I load the game, go to my garage and I expect to see Carface's Chrysler New Yorker. Instead I see the original Oceanic sitting there as if I had never edited a single file! So I hope I simply missed a step and there are some more files somwhere that needs editing... but I kinda doubt it. Please, oh please... tell me what I did wrong. - Thanks. Suction Testicle Man
Have you tried rebuilding the gta3.img file? That's what I do when this happens on my PC version. If at first you don't succeed, you fail, and the test will be terminated.

Now the game crashes when the pink bar has almost completely loaded and I get the "one moment please" message. boo-whoo.
Opius
I'm not sure how well the Wheel mod works on the Xbox, as I haven't tried it myself. But the biggest thing to remember is that everytime you change a file, you need to delete the file named 'GTAVC.CAP.FINAL' in the root folder of the game (the one with the XBE). The game can somehow recover old data out of it, and deleting it forces it to rebuild from the modified files.

I got the car in game (thanks for letting me know about cap file) I found a nice tutorial over at Xbox Scene as well. Apperantly TXD workshop doesn't do the job when it comes to coverting the txd's to Xbox. The tutorial asked me to use RWAnalyze instead... http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=391115 ^Link just incase anybody else could use the tutorial. Thanks a lot for your help guys.
