LC 44
Sumpin that hasn't really been discussed is loading times. Do you guys think the psp is capable of not having to stop and load when you are crossing over to staunton from portland?
Rob.
Yes the loading time are an issue but i think the method R* have chosen is that they do load inbetween islands but the game also loads the enviroment off the disc in real time like San Andreas so pop up will be likely and loss of texture from most GTA's will be present i'm afraid. However recently there was confirmation that there would be no loading times inbetween islands meaning the game would have to run off the disc and so at the moment nothing is for sure
The WINDMILL
Yea but running off of the UMD disc will take a lot of battery. I don't really mind if they make loading times between portland and staunton and shoreside vale. If I'd be playing LCS, I'd have all the time in the world! NathanHenry
Put it this way the way R*said it will deal with its loading time I think they mean that when you start the game it will load the hideout you are by and the island that hideout is in and while you are on that island it will load the other 2 islands while you are playing the game. Me neither, it doesn't matter if there is a loading time between moving islands, it's only for a few seconds anyway.

PSP can play MP3s from UMD for 10 hours from a single charge. Games run for about 3.5 hours. The ammount of power taken up by UMD drive is only a fraction of the power taken up by the CPU, GPU, screen, and other components. Yes, streaming will reduce the battery life, but not bellow 2.5-3 hours. If you simply must play LCS for 5+ hours straight, get a second battery. Prior to filing a bug against any of my code, please consider this response to common concerns.
