The-King
When the cars cool, take off the oil filler cap and the water coolant cap. If there is any white substance at the top, the head gasket has gone and water is mixing with the oil. That is a possibility. Remember if it looks like chocolate milk get rid of the car, and fast. I just learned about that in my auto class last week.~TGK Edited October 9, 2005 by THE-G.T.A.-K.I.N.G. |PropagandaIncorporated:|: Steam:|: DeviantArt:|: Last.FM|

anus
I just replaced the head gasket and the fuel's been going fine. Thanks for the help guys ! Another simple question though, since the car has this many miles in it, should I get my dad to rebuild the engine, I've noticed a significant drop in performance in this car and I drive a friend's FB14 and it runs far better than this because it's only three years old. It will cost money. More than the car is worth. If you lost performance on your engine, it's not due (or perhaps a quarter of it) to high mileage. What kinda service you did to that car since you got it??? Signature soon.
anus
Pavlov, I'm not sure, my dad has been doing all that stuff. I think he's done a complete service to the car recently.

Pancho the great
Hey guys wondering if you could help me out My car - 04 Vauxhall corsa sXi, Mileage 11,000 roughly Ok basically when I first got this car way back in Aprial this year everything was running fine and has been doing so for a long time....Untill about 2 months ago.....basically now Evertime I change gear or when I accelerate when the engine is sitting at under 2k RPM there is a strange squeak noise. The noise only last for a second and I havent seen a drop in performance, but I just wanted to see what you guys think incase this could lead to other problems. Thanks in advance for any help. Luke15
Mmm, Vauxhall Corsa, renound for there build quality I wouldnt worry about it, just make sure next time you get you MOT done you make sure they checked everything. I really wouldnt worry about that on a Vauxhall Corsa, the main thing to worry about on Corsas are their secure door locks .
Dup
Its probably the cold weather. Does it happen when you first start the car, or only when changing gear? My opinion is it's a loose/slipping belt. Things expand/contract in different weather conditions. It's probably just your alternator belt. My 206 does the same thing, but only when its quite cold. If it sters getting difficult to start, have the alternator looked at.

kevin2006rhs
Differnt types of lifts can acomplish the 12'' inch life. A body life of 2-4 inches is the norm when lifting a car that much. Then you actually have to go about messing with the suspension. New leafsprings will make it higher, new shocks will follow. Watch the prices...they can go from 1grand to over 10 grand without instalation. Usually a lift for a K series chevy runs crom 500-2000 dollars. I owuld say expect to pay 2000 or more for the blazer to get the kit.

kevin2006rhs
Yeah if you are young and are going to buy an SUV and put a lift kit on it, find one with a kit already installed. Have fun with that too, it often costs a good bit of money for a K5 Blazer. THe often reach up around 10,000 dollars because the guys that put the lif kits on their cars want a good interior, better parts, and stronger motors and trannies. CraftLandia
You can play with the spring and suspension of your 4wd all your like but it'll only raise the body which will play buggery with your centre of gravity. The problem is that no matter what you do, your lift job is only as good as the lowest part of the vehicle, which in the case of all 4wd's will be the diff housing. The only way to truly lift a 4wd is by fitting big ass wheels and tyres - And I don't mean 40 inch chrome spinny bling-bling motherf*ckers with rubber band tyres either. kevin2006rhs
All that money to make your SUV handle like sh*t!? I don't get it Well the lift isnt always a bad thing. I dont mind having a 3-4 inch lift under a truck or an SUV because you can fit larger, wider and taller, tires on it. So les say you do raise the car 4 inches but you put a new set of tires on the car that make it 4inches wider. YOu get better suspension travel, better offroad ability and better handeling on road. IMHO if you are gonna get a truck, use it for more than driving back and fourth from ehre to there. Take it out, haul sh*t, go camping, take it offroad, give it a purpose. I dont want a truck like this piece of retarted bullsh*tery: I want something like this, PreRunner style: Edited February 6, 2006 by kevin2006rhs
AshleeSimpson
ANyone want a blinker fluid fillup writeup? K good. Start by goin to your local autozone and asking for this product... Kaleco blinker fluid. This stuff is the best. Next locate your blinker fluid filler bottle. In some cars this is located in the engine compartment, next to the washer fluid. Once you find it, carefully take off the cap, and place it somewhere where you wont lose it. Next, using a funnel carefully pour the blinker fluid into the bottle. Put the cap on, and take it for a test drive. You will feel much more power in your blinks, and it will give a much more distinct "click click click click click" when it blinks. Check your fluid every 1.5 million blinks to ensure proper blinkage. Stay tuned for my next write up. Mega
Just seeking some help here. I was wondering if anyone could recommend some car models here from the years 1993-1997 that get roughly 30-38MPG with gas (not diesel, gas.) My current car is a gas guzzler and I don't feel like taking out a loan on a brand new vehicle or anything. I did find a model, the 1996 Pontiac Sunfire (5-speed manual), that reportedly gets about 35MPG on the highway. If anyone could recommend some car models from the 1993-1997 era that got good milage, I would appreciate it. Small? Big? VW Jetta 2.0 or Saab 900 - good choices. Signature soon. JayC
Hey hey. I have a 1997 1.4l Golf Match edition 5-speed manual. Problem: When the gas pedal is pressed more than 15% down the car behaves as though the clutch is depressed and over-revs. Car is still drivable but Itmeans it can't accelerate for sh*t, sucks at going uphill and uses far too much petrol. As I use the car to deliver pizzas it kind of sucks. Plus, as I deliver pizzas I don't make enough monies for expensive fixes.
