n2gether
well i can sign on aol, but i lose connection usually about every 10 minutes, it just disconnects from the internet without telling me, like aol will still be running but i cant use the internet at all. So i have to ctrl-alt-delete it, and when i do that it closes, gives a error, and either you pick "ok" or "sign off" and when you hit "ok" it just instantly connects back on, without dialing....so i dont understand this problem, but its been doing it for a long time, and i've tried 3 different phone lines, and it doesnt do it on another computer i have here. Krusty.
AOL is the cause of the problem. My uncle is having the same problem, he has had it for about a week, but seriously, everytime one my family asks me to come round and look at their computer, its cos theyve got AOL. I hate AOL so much, it sucks ass. You should get Net zero or something, its only like 10 bucks a month... Anyway I dont think the problem is the AOL, its probily either your ethernet cable, or your computer. How to fix it, I dont know...

n2gether
Try reinstalling AOL. that didnt work. i'm guessing possibly a modem, or maybe somewhere in the computer, not connected to aol... edit: well now its not crashing like it was before, it completely loses connection now, has to redial everytime....and usually its happening at almost exactly 10 minutes...on rare occasions 20+..kind of weird... Waste
Check for spyware/adware/viruses in safe mode, and then try a different modem.
