SAMI v1.1 RELEASED

---------------------------

I have finished updating SAMI to v1.1, which is considered a "fix" release. This means that it focuses on fixing bugs, rather than adding big features. Here's a list of changes in v1.1:

-Fixed bug with cars that have larger than normal wheels

-Fixed several bugs when replacing vehicles that don't use a carcols.dat line (i.e. "hydra")

-Will now remember the last used mod source path\file (rather than defaulting to the desktop every time)

-Automatically highlights the replacement vehicle that the custom car was intended to replace

-Fixed minor problem with update prompt asking more than once when SAMI is ran for the first time

-Fixed minor InsertText scripter problem with wrong "Insert Position" selection when modifying the command

-Fixed a couple minor problems when manually changing San Andreas directory

-Scripts can now be more than one "level" deep in a ZIP\RAR file's structure

-Several minor changes to the design

-New version of installer used to install SAMI (should fix errors that some people were having)

-Several other minor changes

Head over to www.SanAndreasModInstaller.com to get the new version. Or better yet, just use the auto-update feature (if you already have v1.0) to update to v1.1.

1:yeah, everything is working now. colgate.gif but one i can't understand. what is mean with the option custom vehicle name? only the name to uninstall the mod? in the game there's still the old name.

2. the update is working but i still can't go the your homepage. dontgetit.gif

perhaps something with our configuration.

tried with firefox, was the same, can't find sever.

1) The purpose of the vehicle name is for the name of the backup. It does not change the vehicle's name in-game.

2) It has to be either something with your configuration or your ISP or something because you're the only one that seems to be having the problem. Also, the update uses SAMI's site, so if the update works, then you should be able to visit the site.

can u make a virtual models viewer thing like the GGMM?

I wish. smile.gif But I'm not experienced with that type of programming.

Now if you're wanting this so that you can see which custom vehicle is in each "slot", then I'll be implementing an alternate way. It will be able to tell you if a custom vehicle has already replaced that vehicle.

Hi, great tool cpmusick85

i have a couple of suggestions that might be handy-

1-an option on the last screen to go back to the start so we dont have to restart the program every time and

2-it automatically inserts the name of the file (zip, rar or folder) into the vehicle name box

these would help us lazy people loads biggrin.gif

great work hope u can include these in a later version cool.gif

Really like this tool but there is one thing that i think would be very useful.

If it is possible could you implement a .gxt editor to change the names of the vehicles in-game. If you could do this for a future release that would be great. colgate.gif

I just got SAMI and its starting to piss me off mad.gif it told me to install .net framework so I got the new 2.0 framework and I installed it and it is still saying I need to install framework mad.gif please help me, this tool looks pretty convenient to install stuff and I want to use it biggrin.gif and btw, I also get the error message about it can't find the path for san andreas mad.gif any help will be greatly appreciated colgate.gif

First off, calm down (the smilies and yourself). You said you installed Net Framework 2.0. That obviously didn't apply.. check the following points:

-If you got XP, you gotta have SP2. I don't think the installer would even run if you don't have it. Same thing applies to Win98 (need SE) but I don't think you have it lol.gif

-Did you restart after installing? It may only take effect after restarting.

1.If everything's okay with above, re-install using this Microsoft link:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...&DisplayLang=en

Again, may want to make sure you restart.

2.If it STILL doesn't work, from the Add/Remove programs panel uninstall ALL the .Net Framework versions you may have (1.0,1.1,2.0), restart, then install 2.0 clean from the link above.

That should do it.

SAMI looks for the v1.1 .NET framework registry key. So the reason it's not working is because it's not there becuse you have framework v2.0. NOw it may work if you download the v1.1, install it, then install v2.0 on top of it. However, I haven't tested that yet.

Here's a quick fix that should make it work:

http://www.sanandreasmodinstaller.com/file...MI_.NET_FIX.zip

Let me know if this works or not. smile.gif

What this proggy needs:

1. Button to go back to start

2. Carmods line detection

3. New colours detection; if new colours are found they will be added to the colour list in the carcolours file and the detected colours line (ie. from readme) will be adjusted accordingly.
