KING ANDY
What was the first car you ever had? Mine was given to me by my dad. It is a 1991 Mercedes Benz 190E. I still have it now but it has lots of problems considering it is from 91 and it has loads of miles
Cojawfee
The first car that you personally owned, or something that isn't really yours but you are basically the only one that drives it. For me I drive my dad's Crown Victoria, since he is in California all the time, I am hoping that the first car that is mine will be the Ford Five Hundred. Or maybe a Mustang. SIP YEK NOD
my first was a 51 GMC, but that didn't run for very long, and wasn't exactly ever street legal, so techincally, my first is what i am currently driving, an 00 Ford F-
Xo4
My first was a 66' Ford F100(i think) looked like sh*t but it ran great. But then i sold it to my friend and he totaled it

-beeblebrox-
Lucky americans, your first cars may be old but at least they're a good size and quite powerful! Check mine out: 1994 VW Polo CL, 1.3 litre engine works fine, just wish I had something more exciting, and less boxy.

Mercedes-Benz
My first car was a 1985 Mercedes-Benz 300CD. That was supposed to be my all around car. But my dad said he would buy me something else to drive around when I go out and stuff, so I got a 2001 E320 4Matic Wagon. I sold my 1985 300CD and bought an other one (that was 10x cleaner). Sold it for $6,000 then bought my 1989 300SE.
C.Jackson
My first car was a 1987 Volvo 740GLE. It had 222,000 miles on it, but it ran like it was brand new. Beyond the extensive body damage it was pretty nice. Although, after I fixed it, the rear 1/4 panel probably had a few cans of bondo (body filler) on it........ _C.Jackson

turbosax05
My first car was a 1995 Ford Escort LX with an 88hp 1.9L I4 I had it about 11 months from Jan 04 to Dec 04, then 4 days before Christmas i was at my HS for a bball game and i started the car, there was a loud bang, and it stalled, i restarted it, and it ran but made a wierd crcrcrcrcrcrcrcrcrcrcr sound (tried to figure out how to discribe it) turns out that the valve seats on 2 cyl went bad, and they fell into the cylinders maring them and the cyl walls to the point that the motor was gone. So we had 2 options, 1. buy a used engine for $2K with no history and a 90 day warranty or 2. buy another car. we went for option 2. First car i test drove was a clean 1995 Pontiac Grand Am 2 door with a 2.3 Quad Four engine, it was a nice car, wouldve bought it, but it made a thumping sound when the car turned to the left. Second car was a 1995 (Startin to see a pattern?) Saturn SC2 (2 door coupe) nice as well, but not me, had a sticky gas pedal, had to use a bit of force to get the pedal to move then it jerked like u poped the clutch on a stick shift, it was bought when we pulled back in after the test drive Third car (not really) was an early 90s Chrysler Concorde, the dealer just got the car, so it was filthy, low on gas and needed work, the only thing i liked was it had a bit of oomph in it, but other than that it was a no-go for me and that comes to the car we bought a 1995 Ford Taurus SE with a 3.0 V6 with 88500 on it when we bought it, now it has about 91500 on it

How many kays? Thanks. I reckon it's the best XF in my city. It had about 245,000 Ks before the gauge stopped working It's been around, but still runs great. meth.
My first car was an '87 cutlass cierra. Classic old lady car. It was the worst color imaginable....similar to the color of a penny but not quite copper...I'd say a bit more putrid then that.
quackaddict
'64 1/2 mustang. Started restoring it. Tore it down to the frame. Then my parents did a little math on what it was going to cost to get it running again after I sandblasted the entire car. The subframe disappeared when I was at school one day. Ended up getting my sister's hand-me-down '82 Volvo.

Trueno_Drifter86
Well I havn't got my first car yet but right now im looking in some Junk yards for a 83-86 Toyota Corolla GTS Hatch. But if I had the money maybe a 93-96 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo mmmmm sexy T top.
-beeblebrox-
How the hell do all you foreigners afford insurance on these things, I mean, a 300ZX twin turbo as your first car??? If I had my own insurance instead of being tagged onto my parents' then my 1.3 litre box would've cost £1400 to insure for the year. No british insurance company would touch a 17 year old driving such a fast car, or if they did you'd be looking at over 2k a year.
SIP YEK NOD
well, here basic coverage is a flat rate depending on driving experience/tickets & accidents, no matter what. you could be a 16 year old driving a ferrari enzo, and you would be paying $1440/year. start throwing other coverages(collision, theft, vandalism, etc) into the mix, and it starts going up. i pay $2200/year for full coverage on an 00 f-150. if it had been a V-6 it would have been $250 less. Touge
First car was a black '87 Honda Civic 25X auto, D15B powah!!! from there went to a '92 honda Prelude 2.2 Vtec, auto as well I didn't like that car so I got a '90 toyota Starlet GT, Then mom sold it because she thought it was too dangerous for me front wheel drive turbo motor housed in 820kg of hatchback will be a bit dodgy in the wet but FFS! From there I had a 1994 Ford Laser GT-X, for about a month or two. Then an automatic 1.8 '89 Toyota Corona. After that came an automatic '93 Celica. didn't like that either so it was sold. atm I'm driving a '93 corolla 1.6 GL stationwagon. It has 336,000 kms on it's standard 4A-FE motor, but if you drove it you'd never tell. Exterior's a bit rough but the inside is mint as! still looking for another car, got my eye on this 200SX atm but I probably won't get it with the way petrol prices are going. My Dad gets a company car whitch they insure to so I will insure my car under his name so It won't cost me so much becuase he's over 25 and has a spotless driving record my brother did it on his 84 Oldsmobile cutless supreme I think it was before he moved out and he saved tons of money. Plus my rents said they will pay for my insurence if I pay everything else . Edited September 10, 2005 by Trueno_Drifter86
CraftLandia
My first car is a 1986 XF Falcon. I'm looking forward to getting a recon engine for it because I've never changed an engine before. Have fun, lol! Just make sure you have a damn good engine crane, as those Ford 250 motors are big heavy sons of bitches. Three big blokes couldn't lift the 202 out of my Kingswood. We had an XF for 12 years, they're strong cars, we crashed ours about half a dozen times and it was never written off. Its the only good thing about old Fords I reckon, you just can't kill 'em. My first car was a 1971 HG Holden Kingswood station wagon. It was a good car, drove nicely for a car without power steering and pulled good burnouts. A double bed matress also fitted perfectly in the back! However the brakes barely worked, the electrics were a mess, not a single bit of the interior was the same colour and it was rusted to the point of no repair. I ended out stripping it for parts, kept some stuff, sold the rest and gave the shell to someone who wanted it for the front subframe.
wantfrieswithat9
I just got my first car 2 days ago, its a 2006 Volvo S60 with EVERYTHING. misiaq
Not really mine but my parents'. Half of the reason we got it was that we needed a more economic car than our 3 litre Toyota Camry for driving around the town, and the other half that I just got my drivers licence. It's a 1992 BMW 318i in a better condition than most cars I've seen, since it hasn't done to many miles for it's age. We got it about 2 weeks ago. Sorry for the bad photo, it was taken by a siemens phone.

Rockford
My first was a 1986 Oldsmobile Delta 88 that my brother gave to me with 145,000 miles, It looked like crap but it was the best i ever owned and it never once left me standed. I let it sit for 3 weeks in 2 degree weather and it was covered in ice but i pryed the door open and turned the key and it started right up. I drove it til it had 151,000 miles and sold it to my brother for 100.00 so i could buy my Pontiac and he beat the life out of it and tore up the front suspension until the ball joints gave out, I sold it to collinwood scrap for 35 bucks. God do i miss that car...
