Suggestion regarding organization

Sorry to post another topic, but this is a completely unrelated subject.

I've noticed that the forums under the gta series category are slightly disorganized.

Now, this isn't a big deal, but I always find myself peering hard at the cluster of forums to find the game i'm looking for.

might i suggest reorganizing the structure so it goes in chronological order of when the games are released (or too be released). Instead of the current structure, i'd suggest this:

GTA Series

• GTA4

• Liberty City Stories

• GTA Advance

• GTA San Andreas

- General Discussion

- Troubleshooting

- General PC Chat

- Gameplay

- Mission Help

- Cheats and Tricks

• GTA Vice City

- General Discussion

- Troubleshooting

- General PC Chat

- Gameplay

- Cheats and Tricks

• GTA3

- General PC Chat

- Troubleshooting

- Gameplay

- Cheats and Tricks

• Old Skool

- GrandTheftAuto Chat

- GTA2 Discussion

- Editing Forum

Now, i know it's probably organized right now from the most popular game discussion at the moment to the least popular game discussion, but i still think the chronological order might be less confusing.

Also, a new category for "gta next" might be interesting (if not necessary).

Suggested forums for the category:

-GTA4 discussion

-LCS discussion

-Fan Fiction

I agree with this idea. It would make the forums more organised if they were in chronological order. It would also make them more presentable.

I kinda get what your saying and semi-agree, one point that struck out as not needed is a GTA NeXt forum. Seriously we know next to nothing about GTA4 so its way to early to speculation past GTA4. Basically GTA4 Chat is already a GTA NeXt forum full of ideas that people want etc.

Fair enough, it was just an alternative to the first format.

I was thinking of adding a "Portable" category for Advance and Liberty City Stories, but I want to wait and see how popular LCS is before I do that.

GTA San Andreas should stay at the top because it's the big thing at the moment (imagine having the Writers Forum at the top and Gen Chat at the bottom, for example tounge.gif). I reckon at least 90% of our guests/new-registrants come for GTA San Andreas, and the ACP stats are there to prove that. Personally, I don't find it confusing, especially when you look at it this way. The nav likes to throw things about, ye see, so GTA Advance should really be under GTA3, as seen from that view^

It might seem a bit confusing because Liberty City Stories and GTA4 don't have any sub-forums, but that's likely to change soon anyway.

So, meh.

A problem with that is that there are forums named the same. For example, there are three "Troubleshooting" forums. If I did an Active Topics or New Posts search, I wouldn't know if it was referring to SA, VC, or III. Maybe implement a hack to show SA/VC/III icons, or name them like "Troubleshooting (SA)" "Troubleshooting (VC)" "Troubleshooting (III)". Other than these issues, I am completely for this 100% and wish I suggested it sooner.
