mod garages issue

sooo, i installed this wheel pack: http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=211954

 

now the problem i got was that when i would go into transfender (or other) and would highlight a spoiler or wheel, they would not preview on the car. if i would hit ok and act as if i would buy them, the game would crash.

 

i followed the instructions carefully replacing what needed to be replaced and adding what needed to be added.

after i came across this problem i extracted all the original wheel.dff files from a backup of the IMG and readded them to IMG with mods. then i deleted the modified wheel.dff and wheel.txd and rebuilt the archive.

 

upon starting up the game agian and going into a TF, the game still does the same thing.

no wheels or spoilers preview upon the car and the game crashes if i try to buy.

 

i got pissed and uninstalled and reinstalled, making sure to delete every file relating to GTA:SA.

after reinstalling and going into a TF the same problem existed with the god damned TF.

now WTF is going on? i reinstalled the game and every single file is factory defualt. clean. no mods. nothing.

yet it acts like somethings missing or corrupt because i can no longer buy wheels or spoilers or even preview them before buying.

 

 

 

unless somehow the files magically jumped through my desk and corrupted my DVD, i am at a brick wall and do not know wtf to do to fix it.

i had the exact same problem reinstalled and everythin only diffrence is the wheel pack

Delete the gta_sa.set file from the User Files folder.

 

If you're on Vista, delete the Virtual Store copy of the installation folder too. The Appdata folder might be hidden. (e.g. C:\Users\???\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas).
