do ineed a mod chip to mod games for my ps2. and if i need one, where could i get one

You can't use mods on the PS2

You would at least need a hard drive and a way to link to a pc.

They usually allow you to play copied dvd and games on your ps2

Yes, but not many mods have been made for the xbox. PC version is the only version of the game which is fully moddable with ease

ok, well SA doesn't support 98 so that would need upgrading. It then depends on your current hardware
