My cd-burner tray is stucked. The drive is below my DVD burner. It wont open unless i use a clip inside a little hole the drive has. But if there is a disc inside, it will open a close as normal. What could I do?

make sure nothing is obstructing the drive bay, make sure it has a power source, and push the button, if nothing happens, eject it using the emergency eject, take your disk, and toss the burner. they are cheap as dirt nowadays, and you already have a dvd burner, so....

Power's ok, just checked the connections... everything seems normal. If the drive is with a disc in it, it will open correctly. If I take the disc out, it won't open.... its pretty weird... so before I buy a new drive is there anything else I could do...

btw: In which forum did a post this?

Have you checked for Firmware upgrades? And can you eject it by right-clicking on it in "My Computer" and clicking Eject?

I think its more physical than virtual... I mean, it tries to eject, but it can't...

Hmm, now it works... wierd... it will probably f*ck up later...
