Go to the LC forums and see how long it's taken many modders working together to port it to the VC engine.

I can't believe this is an actual conversation. R* has a LARGE team of people working together for many MANY months to pull these games off. It sounds like you think that because the files already exist, transporting them is a breeze. It isn't. Different engine means tweaks and conversions too numerous and indeed unknown to fit within the scope of this thread. Again, regard LC, particularly the thread that is pinned and locked. The original thread.

So if you don't mind me asking, why would you choose your first task to be one that you'd need to be an expert in every single facet of GTA editting? Part of the reason LC has been as successful as it has is because we had different people with different skills engaging in what they do best. If you bite off more than you can chew, you're just going to get frustrated. I'm an accomplished modder with a couple big projects I want to make for SA and I've only just begun because I KNOW I'm not ready yet.

whats so hard to understand
What's hard to understand is how somebody expects to be warped to the 4th floor instead of taking the stairs one step at a time.

YOU would get frustrated and my trying to spare you that is me taking something out on you? blink.gif Bang your head against the wall; you really think I care one way or the other?

And that's how I started out. Difference is that I didn't set out to get headaches and risk being frustrated to the point of abandoning it. I started small because I actually wanted to learn and remember this stuff. I think my history would lend credibility to this approach; what do you think?
