I'm wondering because a lot of people didn't like my downtown gangwar ini. I don't know if it was because of the boundaries, or just because they didn't like the location/characters/atmosphere. Skeeter Posted September 1, 2005 Share Posted September 1, 2005 Well in my ini's i make i like to try different things like destruction derby/stunts/ generally game modes where you play a mate and go do stuff in the city. Deathmatch is ok sometimes but not allways as it can get frustrating sometimes depends whos playing. If i do like to shoot others then id say team games, like team a vs team b, paintpall style would be cool in gta And most certainly friendly fire on as i hate when team mates accidently hit ur team members and they loose life cos of it. I'm planning on making a new .ini with the whole map open, but I want some feedback on what people like first. lol, yeah I was one of them,, I was only joking around Here are some points that you should think of adding to your ini. - Make Teams and put them in somekind of HQ. -- Don't put them all scattered around vice city, and call them a team ) - Give a Team a specific vehicle. -- E.G In mine, Greasers have a white Freeway, Haitians have a voodoo, etc.. you get the point - Spawn Screens. -- This is what usually grabs the players attention. Try to put them in open areas, and at different camera angles ( I love your spawn screen btw, ) - Weapons. -- Give each team a specific weapon(s) - Models. -- When making teams, dont just put an old lady and a beach guy as a team . Use Models that look alike, etc. - World Boundries -- This is totally up to you. But if you have seven teams scattered all around vice city, leave the boundries as it is . Be Creative. I created many vanilla.ini's, including Manhunt, when you cant see anyone on the radar and its in a specific location. 7 Team Gangwar ( Currently on the =BGC= Public Clan Server ) Spawn war, Boat wars etc.. BORO Posted September 1, 2005 Share Posted September 1, 2005 me thinks a good thing would be to take most of the action to the east coast. dont know out you but i think that we are all preety much fed up with the mtaish style wars at cherrypops or like now we experience in v2 at the bikers club. put some spawns on the beach (teh beach boys w00t), vice point, el swanko etc, and make it so every team (or almost) has access to the sea and a few boats at the spawn.. im at work so i cant put my ideas together, but the primary goal is to take the action to the east coast. gl Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

BORO Posted September 2, 2005 Share Posted September 2, 2005 gice us one on prawn, good old robbers also you might consider the lighthouse as a spawn too. a spawn in leaf links is nice(not on the east island near the round point!), its a large area and you can locate some stuff over there. the spawn at the cortez boat is perfect i ll go ingame tonight to take a look around vc and eventually post some more feedback Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
erorr404 Posted September 2, 2005 Author Share Posted September 2, 2005 (edited) i think a spawn at leaf links would be way too close to the 'undecided' spawn. the reason i dont want it cluttered is becauase the teams will just run a few blocks down and spawn war eachother, rather than driving around the map toward the other bases. i dont want to move it either, since as it is they have a nice little house with a helipad and a small pier. the lighhouse spawn would be a really nice place, but its just down the road from the Cortez spawn, although i might still put it in. i'll definately put the robber spawn in. edit: i added the robber spawn, but i cant put in the robber or sailor models since special characters aren't supported in VC-MP: i still need a couple more spawns though. erorr404 Posted September 5, 2005 Author Share Posted September 5, 2005 maybe u should ask zircon, he somehow used the same character images as in mta for his .3 remake interesting, i'll ask if i see him in IRC. i finished doing the spawns, weapons, and vehicles at the spawns. there are 5 bases right now (the ones in the pic above), but i might decide to add more later. if i do add any, they won't have boats as all of the good ones near the water are taken. all i have left to do is place vehicles throughout the city, and i just finished digging up all the parked vehicle coordinates (from single player) from the .SCM. that should make my job a lot easier. anyway, i am still open to suggestions, if anyone still cares about this.
