SIP YEK NOD
with windows XP, even if you have your account with your name as an administrator, there should be an account called "administrator" with the password you set when you installed windows XP. if you didn't set one, you should be able to log in by putting "administrator" as the username, and leaving the password feild blank. you can then change the password on your regular account so you can access it. if you don't have the option of putting in a username, start in safe mode by pressing F8 during start up, and both your account and the administrator account should appear. click the administrator(if you didn't set a password) and change your account's password with that account. if you are trying to get into somebody else's account without them knowing, you are SOL
maelstrom
The Offline NT Password & Reg editor is a nice tool to have handy in case you forgot your admin password, and your user account is not admin level. d/l the boot floppy (or iso) and boot it, use it to blank out the admin password. Reboot into safe mode, log in as admin (no password, ahh) and create a password.

Bond996
i have win xp professional Try booting into safe mode and logging in as the admin as SIP suggested, if not, try maelstrom stroms boot floppy(quickly saves for future use.), one of those should work. Wolf68k
Here's the problem with using a password reset system; if the account had any files or folder encrypted, which is something you can do in Pro, those files/folder cannot be accessed any more. However if you want to recover the password, they read about it here: http://www.petri.co.il/forgot_administrator_password.htm They show you how you can recover or reset the password using which ever you prefer.
