Third reformat.. 2 months.

Recommended Posts

The first time I got this error, my computer simply stopped working. I was listening to music browsing the net, and everything simply stopped.

Second time, my PC froze, so I was forced to turn it off by the power button.

Third time (this morning), same thing happened as the second time.

Here's the error I keep getting, which forces me to reformat my disk each time, no matter what I change in BIOS, or if I try and start up safe mode. It simply starts loading, the screen flashes black, and I get this.

Setup before both crashes:

CPU: Intel Pentium 4 2.02ghz, 800mhz FSB.

PSU: Jeantech 500W

Graphics: Powercolor ATi Radeon 9800 128MB

Keyboard: Packard Bell USB "Activboard" keyboard

Mouse: Packard Bell 3D USB Mouse

OS: Microsoft® Windows® XP Home SP1 (was SP2 on the first crash)

HDD: Seagate U6 series

CDRW: CDRW Philips CDD4851

RAM: 512MB DDR RAM, PC3200

MOBO: Gigabyte 8S648FX -RZ ATX SiS648FX P4 Motherboard

Need anymore info, let me know.

Does anyone have any idea what's causing these seemingly random crashes, and how to avoid them/fix them if it should happen?
