Can players get into the army base?

I pretty sure you can I havn't played GTA 2 in a while but I remember doing a mission for the rednecks were you have to steal a tank.

You know where the zaibatsu is right? There a ramp southeast of the village jump over it onto the building then on to another building on a rail and THEN jump into the army base.- Slurp Slurp, Hmmm... Sprunk!

You can only enter the army base when you are doing the mission. Once you deliver the tank to the Rednecks the base gate automatically closes, even if you have just completed the mission.

Not true. as I explained above, however to clarify it I will take some screenshots later.

You can enter the base but there are no soldiers .
