swmand4
Hey everyone, I have a problem. Maybe someone here can help? Here's the deal: the damaged door models have cracked glass. So far I've had no problems with it. But now the rear windows are showing all the way through the vehicle. However, the front doors do not. It's very strange. Here's a few pics to help people get the idea. (The rear doors glass texture setup is exactly the same as the front's, and the front works perfectly). Sure hope someone can help - I have no clue what's causing this
qorilla
I think the the objects with glass (like doors) have to be at the end of the hierarchy, and that way the chassis will be seen through the glass... This is the only thing I can think of. I hope it can help.
Augh
It's down to the order the objects are being called up in yeah. Going on theory it might even be a literal case of things being rendered out by the game engine before it's made a call at all for the object being culled/not being culled. I dunno, that might be a little overly simplistic, it's just musing. The heirarchy should be reordered so that objects are below/after objects which will be visible past them, at least that used to be the case. SA, f*ck knows. Sometimes you might find there's certain combinations that are a complete bastard to nail down, but virtually any vehicle can be set up so that these issues can never occur, with the right planning. Normally it isn't too much of an issue to reshuffle though.
Kam
If the glass material is part of your object's sub-material, try to change it to the last sub-material/ID! The is original SA DFF works! eg: glass is sub-material in 'chassis', and your 'chassis' had 10 sub-material. Then place the glass material/ID in the 10th sub-material. swmand4
Thank you for the replys, but none of the suggestions worked Oh well, It's suppose to be tinted anyway, and looked a little weird with cracked glass...
