Just finished working on a custom tailored skin for the forums w/ some friends and a Splash to boot.

 

Just wanted your opinion on the new design:

Lots of bugs, errors, bad efficiency and poor usability. I'll only get into them if these are things you care about (they should be, if you think you are good). It's pretty.

I'm confused, why is the button to the site flash? It could be a simply GIF or MNG.

 

There isn't really much to say about the splash, some of the text crosses the border, etc. The edges are ugly and so on.

 

And instead of using an image, why not us a background instead? Much nicer when I look around a site. Keep image image and background background.

I'll admit it looks nice, but the code is .. poor.

 

As Svip said, there's little point in using a flash file just so you can have the little arrow fade in and out constantly, an animated gif could do that easily. I hate flash.

Jesus christ, on the forum there's 1300+ lines of CSS embedded into each page. Hopefully Cerbera didn't see that, he might have a heart attack.
