alvinkanarbik
OK. So I'm quite sure the parts are compatible with each other, but are any of them too powerful/weak for each other? You see, I'm trying to waste as little money on these as possible, but importing the parts to the Baltics kind of makes it too expensive to buy a really great computer. On to the future specs: MSI Socket 939 K8N SLI PLATINUM $155 AMD Athlon 64 3500+, Venice core $280 Kingston DDRAM PC-3200 400MHz 1GB CL 3,0 $130 Sparkle GeForceFX 6600GT PCI-E 128MB DDR3, 128Bit, 2ns, 500/1000, HDTV-OUT, DVI $190 Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 9 6Y120M0 120GB 7200rpm SATA 150 8MB $100 ViewSonic 19" E92f+SB PerfectFlat $220 $1075
Taxman
....Actually, that's quite a good price for the system. 1. If you don't plan on going SLI, don't get an SLI board. Cheapens it. 2. Also, your gfx card will limit you a little bit.
Wolf68k
It might help to know where you plan on buying all of this from and if that's US$ or what. If just for fun that is US$ and you're shopping online; ViewSonic's are nice but I look at them as an off-brand, and since you're going to go CRT plus I'm guessing that price is before shipping cost then check out this Samsung 19" $199 + $30 shipping. If you can find the Samsung 997DF. Since you're going to go with an SLI mobo, look at ASUS or Abit. With Abit get the AN8 there about 4 different ones, 2 SLI and 2 non-SLI

The A8N-SLI vanilla and deluxe have a fan issue in some revisions. If the chipset fan is mounted parallel to the board edges, it will most likely malfunction in the first few months, and you will need a replacement sent from Asus, which you need to install yourself. I'm currently waiting on a replacement for my deluxe. The Premium, however, uses a heatsink, so I would reccomend that one over the Deluxe. No, then it could have me. If it had an FX-55. And maybe two cards instead of the one.

GT=2 or 3FPS below GTX for 200$ less. Hello? SLIs, and it could have my entire family tree.
alvinkanarbik
I presume family trees and firstborns are an everyday part of the PC Chat? Aanyway, I ain't got the cash for bigger and fluffier gfx cards ni**ers! Also, while I was bored, I put together a $100k computer. Quadruple 3,5gig processors w/ 16 sticks of 2gig RAM. A 60" Plasma TV and 3 40" monitors hooked on to dual 7800GTs. That shuld give you a taste of things. I also found out that Asus has one slick-lookin' chassis I'd like to use, namely the red VENTO 3600. Anymore objections? S'good? Shall I be the famous computering order man of Doom? Taxman
Make a double SLI mobo running dual GTXs each. actually, if you'd have 16 2gigs, that's 4 mobos....Quadruple SLI? Your computer would go faster then things load. You'd have to liquid nitrogen and find a huge-ass case, and get a giant electricity cable. At the moment, the most expensive computer I can find is a falcon.
