Pierce Brosnan
This is my first pixel art piece that I've made. Just made it today and the outcome is what I think is good for a first try at the style. Comments wanted, thanks for viewing. Aukon is my name for my deviantART account. -Pierce
Clown.
what is it with pixel art, theres four threads on the front page now, including mine. @ pierce, thats not isometric, it looks more like you've drawn a cube and added detail. lines should look like this when you zoom in: and the corner of the building should be facing you. also, try and use some shading on the windows, and texture for the grass and concrete walls. Superilldude
Dang, you are one of the most hated member on this board Pierce, . Any who, I will stick to the topic and say that your so pixel is a bit skewed left but that might be from the perspective of it, also make the looks of it actually look like windows. I don't think were at the time where a window glass that large has been made and used but ya anyway, next time make the building to have a point to what it is rather then some random building even though it kind of looks like a hospital built on Mars I like the sidewalk though, and ya it's good for your first try. Pierce Brosnan
Dang, you are one of the most hated member on this board Pierce, Why thank you Superilldude. Here's a thought Pierce, the next milestone or birthday thread, don't post in it. You'd be amazed at how easy it is.

Well, I think i've changed, well at least better than I was before I came back anyway. I won't make anymore posts in anymore milestone and birthday threads if you think it will help. If you think I've not changed, feel free to PM me any tips to change even more. Now, back to the discussion of the topic. king surfer
Isometric aside the windows need breaking up so it's not just a big long line of glass. After that try adding some light hitting the windows and after that change the weird shadows. And no you haven't changed.
Grammaton Cleric
@ Pierce, where did you get your sig? The background more specifically... Edited August 31, 2005 by Grammaton Cleric
anuj
@ Pierce, where did you get your sig? The background more specifically... Heh, I was about to ask that aswell. Pierce: I know you didn't make that. If you did, all you have to do is show the full thing and I'll shut up. If you didn't, be a man and admit it NOW. Because with 80,000+ members, someone IS going to recognize the wallpaper if it's ripped.
papanesta
Looks like pixelated depthCORE.
SilentM
Looks like a bunch of blocks, with no detail. Try adding a bit of grunge or something, as it is right now it's just too plain for my liking.

I know ripping is not allowed and I would not take the chance to use work that belongs to other people. And it's 91,760+ members now, might I add. Antinark
Cubic buildings don't cast triangular shadows on the ground. Just a pointer. And yes, generally people who do pixelling do it from an isometric view point. So you might want to fix the angle of the image a tad so that when the corner of the building that's facing you is an 90 degree angle (assuming it's cubic). The things that drafting class teaches you.

VideoPoker
I'm pretty sure this isn't your 'first' try. I sort of remember you making some other sh*tty perspective pixel piece that no one liked. Anyways, if you were going for isometric view pixel, then you failed horribly. If you were trying to do that lame 3D pixel perspective that only beginners do, then I guess you did all right Moonshield's less handsome join date brother <

Of course, if it's well received then they become 'poxel masta'. eh. Doesn't matter. It's not like there is some secret to learning pixel art. All it is is 26.5 degree lines. Of course, if you want to get to the level of pix-ill, it requires a little talent. (Only a little, viddy.)
