SMG
I've always known about this since I played it when GTA3 came out, and always thaught that this reference on "Game Radio" was common knowledge. I did a search on the forum, but hardly any results came up. Anyway I was playing GTA3 again last night, and it got me wondering what was the deal with this... why did Rockstar allow Game Recordings to place real advertisements for their Adult Business (hiphophoneys.com) in the game? Did Rockstar even realise? Any comments?
Demarest
It was mutual. R* got to use "real" music and the artist got some free advertising.
Pierce Brosnan
Yeah I wondered why Rockstar Games did that, that they would advertise a porn site in a video game. But oh well, heh.

Well technically the age you are allowed to play the game at is 18 and most countries (i think) have a porn age limit of 18. R.I.P. Rown
Silence speak no more of this... we will lock it up where no one will find it and no one will speak of it ever again... GTA is not a family friendly game... but the government has no business in Rockstars affairs or those of the ESRB... wait... what is that... No! Hide the children and the PS2's! Wacko Jacko's in town! But back on topic: It is an adult oriented game and this sort of thing should not be surprising other than the reason that Rockstar actually used a real life orginization... So I don't see why people are so amazed. Rown
GritSandWiches4Breakfest
The artist also gets benefit because people might want to buy some of his music after hearing it on the game.
