Aaargh
I've got some experience building maps and environments for a few 3d-shooters (like unreal) and ever since playing GTA III I wanted to create my own city (or at least a small town) Problem is that I could never find an proper editor, the only thing I ever found was something that would allow me to create my own missions for Vice City. Unfortunatly that was all scripting and I really get confused doing that. Now with San Andreas I would really like to try to build my own city, so my question is: is there a decent San Andreas editor available for download somewhere on the net, and preferably some tutorials to go with it? I know there are mods out there that feature altered cities, i.e. GTA III Real which has a Statue of Liberty added, so there has to be something. Thanx, AAARGH! Knife
Z modeler EDIT: Remember, it's not as simple as drawing a picture!
DiCanio
SA has no Map Editor as yet if you want to use existing Map objects. If you want to make your own objects for GTA3 or VC use 3DMax or ZModeler. Not sure what the state of play is with Kam's 3DMax Script and building (object) dff's. Max seems to be the app of choice at any rate. Check the Myriad Island forum.
dertyjerzian
Not sure what the state of play is with Kam's 3DMax Script and building (object) dff's. Works wonderfully Except for imported DFF's having extra white attack from lights at night, all original exports are great. dertyjerzian
There is no need for moo mapper if you make your map section in max you can just take the coords of each object down and then center each object,. export them, and copy the coords to note pad. IPL IO on the way beyotches!
Knife
Moo Mapper makes things 10x easyer though.

dertyjerzian
Like I said, there is an equivilant tool in the works, but you'll just have to wait for it to be in a releasable state soon though I'm sure, as the person behind it, I know, is very efficient. He is a very good utility maker.
