1.01 patch

the patch cant find the original .exe to update.. even though its right there.. i even reinstalled to make sure it wasnt a crack or anything and the patch program says it cant find the original but finds one with the same name.. an says the patch couldnt happen kuz it cant find the original!!

Make sure you have the correct patch for your geographical region.

could someone upload their 1.00 .exe so i could overwrite or something?

Read the EULA. Distribution of the EXE is not allowed.

Which version of gta sa do you have ? (european,german,us) When you start the installer of the patch you must give the installation path of gta-sa normally it's c:/programfiles/rockstargames/gtasanandreas there you will find gta_sa.exe click op the open button normally the patch will be installed now.

i have the us version...i think.. is there any way to confirm.. i mean its not in german or french or anything..

Wrong, it fixes bugs too, although I didnt bother with it

No its an actual bug fixing patch, it fixes a lot of common problems as well as fixing the ability to clean cars.

 

My best bet for fixing your problem is to reinstall the game.

i reinstalled the game and it didnt work; i tried the german and us patch but the english one wont download from that site says something about the server rejecting my connection

i heard when you download the 1.01 patch if wont pick up .exe. files. So you will have to reinstall the game and get the patch of for .exe. files.

No its an actual bug fixing patch, it fixes a lot of common problems as well as fixing the ability to clean cars.

So does anyone know where the changes are documented?

 

By the way, I can't express how much I loathe the puritans in the u.s. who in the end forced R* to remove the HIDDEN content about voluntary sexual intercourse. To all of you who think like them: Sex isn't bad, it's actually good for your health!

- Added support for 720p and 1080i HDTV resolutions (may also do 1080p, not sure).

 

- Version Number displayed on game title screen.

 

 

BUGS FIXED

- Issue fixed on machines where the OS has been updated (one OS installed over top of another) and has 2 registry keys that point to the users "My Documents" folder (we incorrectly used to assume the Win2000 folder, now correctly uses the last installed OS folder) - users know this as "user account period bug".

 

- Crash when entering advanced display options with only 32 meg of video ram (32 meg of video ram is not supported and will only allow use of 640*480 in 16 and 32 bit. At this resolution it is likely you will see the "Black Roads" LOD problem). We do NOT however disallow machines with 32 meg of video ram from running GRAND THEFT AUTO: San Andreas.

 

- Crash when entering advanced display options on a dual monitor machine after :- starting game on primary monitor in maximum resolution, exiting, starting again in maximum resolution on secondary monitor. Secondary monitor maximum resolution had to be greater than maximum resolution of primary monitor.

 

- Destroyed cars now are correct colour.

 

- Dirty cars now able to get clean.

 

- Numpad 5 key is now mappable when re-defining controls.

 

- Issue on all machines where certain collisions caused parts of the audio system to crash (sound effects, cutscene audio - only radio keeps going) - users know this as "Rain / Thunderstorm bug".

 

- Improvements to DVD streaming.

 

- Audio problems in interior / exterior transitions and getting in / out of cars fixed.

 

- Some fixes to ensure reverb is not present at certain save points.

 

- Improvements to dance game timings.

 

- Crash occuring when using "user radio files" while the frame limiter is disabled.
