Neo-K 182
okay i just downloaded americas army today and i started doing the training missions. so i get through the marksmen one with no problem and then go onto the obstacle corse. i'm going through it nice and easy untill i get to the "Loyalty" corse. in which you have to climb a wall, walk across a beam, then climb down a net. but everytime i start climbing down the net no matter how i do it this voice comes up saying "thats not the army way" and i'm about ready to shove my fist through the computer. i've done this about 50 times now and have yet to get through it and all i'm supose to do is climb down a f*cking net. so is this a problem with my game or am i really doing something wrong here? any help? Superilldude
I been playing the game for 3 years and this was just implanted into the game in this version. But, I did the training for a friend of mine and it actually did it to me. What you can do however is jump, not climb down the net but making sure you land on the blue mattress or whatever those are and before the white sticks. If you want me to do it for you then I wouldn't mind. And no, I won't steal a so 10 honor account
johnson.
one word...... Jump If you want to play some time Neo, hit me up and will play. Just make sure you land on the blue mat. Edited August 29, 2005 by johnson.
Neo-K 182
well i did request a lock to this but now i have another problem. i figured that one out and i went and got through all of basic, airborne, and half of SF, but for some reason it wont let me do any of the SP missions. and i cant figure out why it says Available for all of them but it wont let me press deploy. and it wont load them. Superilldude
Johnson, you been playing the game for a long time? If so, hit me a PM with your tracker account so I can catch you in game when I got some free time. I'm close to getting my 93 honor soon Last month they hacked my account as well, but I got it back from the support management.
johnson.
@Neo:I think you have to fully complete SF training for that one Neo. @Superilldude: Ya, ill do that sometime, I have 22 Honour. My account name is Poncho.

My account name is Poncho. yeah but heres the thing. once i finished the basic training, the first set of missions were open to me the basic infantry ones. it said "available" but wouldn't let me choose them. dont know why. then i went and did airborne and SF and it still wont let me do the basic infantry. so idk i'm really confused with this. and the advanced marksmenship isn't open to me yet either. Superilldude
Yep, I'll catch you in game soon if we got close time zones Johnson. @Neo: Yes you have to complete all training and you need to have 15 honour (Called honor in AA) to join or you can join under 15 honour but you will not have any SF guns and you will get raped basically. I bet ya you will have problems with the last SF training mission since most new players do so, so stay prone most of the time and use the speed key to go slow so when you go into trees and sh*t, then they won't find you by hearing you. I recommend for you to play bridge, it's one of the simplest maps in the game and most popular one, it's easy to remember and to start with so give it a try. EDIT: Just saw you new post, you need 36 or more hits to do the sniper training. Also, to advance to other training missions you need to do the one that comes before. So just go in order. johnson.
To get 36 hits in Marksmenship, just take your time, Single shot only. And it will work out. For the final SF test, just crawl through all of it. There is no set time limit on how long you can take. If you both want to play now PM me. Mafia Righthand_Man
It's been said that in the current version, it's much easier to get a 40/40 on the marksmanship test than in the other versions. However, take your time. The targets take a few seconds before they go down. Some maps I recommend you try are bridge, insurgent camp, SF CSAR (If you don't mind using the AK-74 for a little while), and SF Hospital.
_-playero-_
There are son non-online missions I can't start... Plus, some of the lessons are so f*cking boring... Adding something else, I almost dont play cause I die like in 3 minutes, and waiting 7 more to play is sh*t...

Also known as camping. 10-4 rubber ducky ... kay. There's a difference between camping and actively taking steps to get better. Instead of hiding in the tower on bridge, why not try to learn nading the catwalks? Instead of camping behind a stairwell in hospital, why not try to find the VIP/get to the obj? If you die trying, it's tons better than being hunted down by some 80 honor player. You either camp and stay alive, piss off your teammates, or die and get some dap for being willing to try and take them down.
Neo-K 182
well i got the marksmenship at 38 hits then i went and did the advanced. now i'm moving on to medic which is easy for me cause i'm in scouts and already know all that stuff anyway. and then the one last SF mission and then i guess i'll be able to go and do the SP missions. is a bit annoying though i hoped all i had to do was basic training and then i'd be able to do them. but meh. only a few more missions left. just that 2nd SF one is really annoying. MindCorrupt
AA isnt counter strike, if you die in the first minute youve done something wrong. Take strategic routes, use cover effectively and utilise the report in function. Its a long learning curve but a really good game when you get into it. SF training isnt really needed until you get 15 honour btw. SFhospital is the way to go to get it up, stick on escort and get a leader/VIP position and stick at it. Good fun
Superilldude
You know what, just play non SF maps then when you get better at the game then just do the SF training, will be allot easier for you and will save you the pain of repeating many times. Also, they are adding vehicles in the next next version and it looks pretty good so far. And one thing you will not like about the current version Neo is the amount of hackers in the game, the next version (Coming September) will have those all fixed so don't give up on it when you see 3 hackers in the same server Their releasing Hospital XE next version I believe so I shall reach 100 at last There are son non-online missions I can't start... Plus, some of the lessons are so f*cking boring... You need to do some training missions before you advance. The marks man ship now is too f*cking easy, I can hit 40/40 without trying which sucks because i busted my ass for quite some minutes trying to get 36 + Adding something else, I almost dont play cause I die like in 3 minutes, and waiting 7 more to play is sh*t... sign-yee.gif Learn the map offline and you will die less, they have a sticky at their forums stating all the commands to the game. I die once out of 10 rounds on assault on average (Other then Bridge) and rarely never on defence unless I'm actually playing against skilled players like Hospital. Sir Million Knives
Adding something else, I almost dont play cause I die like in 3 minutes, and waiting 7 more to play is sh*t... sign-yee.gif Don't join the army. This game isnt a run and gun, its pretty close to real life (the pace, not the gameplay). You need to take it slow and keep all your flanks safe...Crouch, check right, check left check back and continue. Just take it slow and youll stay alive longer. johnson.
I bet we can all safely say that SF Hospital is the best mission to gain Honour. Now i all say we should put a GTAF Squad toghether

Mafia Righthand_Man
If you're getting killed in the beginning of the round, there are some things you are doing wrong. TAKE COVER!!! Especially on a map like bridge, don't go off as rambo and go past the mid tower with a nade to try and get a bunch of kills. You will either get mowed down quickly by the SAW or nailed by an M203. Take cover and wait for suppressive fire and grenades to lighten up, then make your move.
Neo-K 182
okay, i have every single training mission done and at 100% for basic, airborne, advanced marksmenship, and medic. i only have half of the SF training though. but i still cant do any SP missions. what the f*ck. i downloaded this to be a decent FPS for me to play for a while and all it's being is one hell of a headake. how the hell do i play the SP missions? i have all the training done and it even says "available" why wont it let me play them? *curses off army*

johnson.
Crawl through the entire thing, like i said before there is no set time limit. Take the first right, then keep going striaght, ull get caught but most likely not get sent back to the begining. Keep going till your out of there eyesite, you will get to the bridge. Dont cross the bridge go under the bridge, stop when ever you hear dog barks or them talking. Once they say "NE" then move on. Sorry but thats about all i can give you. Wolf68k
Take your time and go slow...which is nothing new to what they tell at the start of the training mission. At check point A; there is a bridge straight ahead (don't even think about crossing it), go to the left of the bridge there is a bush and trees around there, go just to the left of them. Go into the valley, but you have to go very very slow here...just tab the W key using atleast a 2 second pause between each press and holding it down for about half of a second. Once in the valley, go to the right going under the bridge...a lot of people go to the left. After that I honestly forget off hand because it's been so long. If all else fails, get with a friend that has the game and has done the training and give him/her your login&pass and have them do it. Or give it to me and I'll do it. To set your mind at ease even more, before giving out the info go and change your password to a completely BS password....hell set it to drowssap (password spelled backwards) just a suggestion. Then when it's done for you, just set yoru password back to normal and go have fun. I will tell you this though, when you do it yourself it feels oh so good.
