How do you fly the Hydra plane on the PC ?

I can only fly it like in a helicopter... are you also able to fly it like the other airplanes, by changing the direction of the boosters?

During the Mission Vertical Bird the info Pop-up tells you what controls will change the thrusters position to hover or straight-forward flight. You can also check your Controller config Special Control Up/Down default is NUMBER PAD 2/8.

 

In straight-forward flight mode you fly the plane like any other, just a LOT faster

Remember to HOLD NUM8 or NUM2 to switch modes.

 

It took me forever to realize that tapping the button did not work.

 

If you switch camera mode and look at the side of the aircraft you can see the thrusters re-orienting as you hold the respective button

i did the vertical bird mission, but i forgot the read the pop-up i passed the mission on luck because all 3 military planes crashed agains the bridge and mountains.....

Also it takes few seconds before the plane goes forward

 

Besides i like the rustler more (BRATAtatarratatatatatabrattarrata!!!, and the evul hydra beats the dust)

where do you find the rustler then ?

When you pass "Learning to Fly " , the rustler will spawn at the abandoned airstrip - FiJiAn 4 LiFe

The hydra is easy to fly you just have to get use to it. To fly like a helicopter press number pad 2 to fly like a plain hit the number pad 8. My favourite plane is the hydra because it's the fastest plane and we can do alot of maneuvers, and you can go vertically line to the sky and its really a good plane.
