deko
for the love of god, could somebody tell me how to get into build mode??? " Build mode is essentially a way of running the game just to collect information (which can then be used to make server INI files). To get into build mode, you must run gta-vc.exe with the -d parameter Using Start, Run, this would be done by entering: C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto Vice City\gta-vc.exe -d and pressing OK. (Use the relevant path to your Vice City directory, this will vary based on installations). " i do that and f*ck all happens.... any ideas? i can go to run and put C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto Vice City\gta-vc.exe but as soon as i put a -d on the end of it, it says it can be found... help? GTA Pimpin
Make a shortcut for the gta-vc.exe with -d at the end. Use that.
Blue Zircon
You have to enclose the path to gta-vc.exe in quotation marks. Example: "C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto Vice City\gta-vc.exe" -d Put that in Start >> Run, and the game should start. From the documentation: When In-Game /BUILD Activates build mode, and takes you out of the camera mode. /V <Vehicle ID> Creates a vehicle with the type specified. Vehicle IDs can be seen in Vice City\data\default.ide file. /SAVE Writes your car's position, ID and colors to savedpositions.txt file (in your VC directory) If used when on foot, this command will create an empty player class.
