Abstract Signature

I just made this abstract signature, I need to know what to change cause there's something I just don't like about it.

EDIT: The rules for the signature.

 

I have drawn up some templates and logos for everyone to use, and there will be some fairly strict restrictions on sigs WHICH WILL BE NON NEGOTIABLE.

 

Anyone that has a problem with that can stick it. We are putting together an image here, straying from that will destroy the image.

 

The sig rules:

1. You will be provided with a template and the fonts which we will be using. These MUST be used by everyone (with the exception of meta, who will probably just wear whatever he asks me to make, whenever he wants )

 

2. The arrangement and composition of the sig in the provided template MUST NOT be changed. If your name and position are in one place on a sig, all others must have it in the exact same place

 

3. The QvsQ logo will appear in ALL sigs you make. That's why it's included with the file. It cannot be moved from it's position.

 

4. You will be allowed to use ANY image you like in the main body of the sig as long as it is not something that will cause offence to anyone. There are obviously rules beyond our control at GTAF that you have to adhere to, so DO.

 

5. You may place any text you like, any where within the main body of the sig, as long as it sticks to rule #4. We are not here to cause people offence, we are here to provide them a welcome to our thread and some interesting conversation. Keep it clean peeps.

 

6. The dimensions of the signature cannot be changed from 400WX94H.

 

7. The text layers provided do not move. They are always written in the Alexis font. However, they can be written in any colour you choose, and you may apply any filters or effects you want to them, as long as they are still recognisable. The size it is provided at is the size it must always be written at. (Position =14 point, Name = 18point.)

 

They are very simple rules - you can make any sig you want on the template as long as you do not rearrange the elements I have placed in there already. Please, no arguments on this as the identity we put out there is very important. We're QvsQ. Be proud. Show it.

Nice colors

Decent background

 

Cons:

 

Tentacles. I'm not sure where those came from, but they're kind of random.

Font. Blend it in a little, or something. They stand out too much as it is.

I'm not allowed to do anything to the banner I can change font colors etc, but that's all. On to the tentacles.... I figured they would look good, and I liked them it fit in with the theme. at least they do to me.~TGK

Yeah, I see where you're coming from. Maybe find a better fitting font then. Like I said, it doesn't look bad but those are the downfalls.

Problem is I can't change anything about the font. (as stated in the rules above(which I just edited into the post ). I just need some ideas on how to change the damn things.~TGK

Put the border on TOP of all the layers !!

And indeed, you should definitely change the font.

Use another font and add stroke, glow and all that stuff.

And btw, I'd put the QvsQ logo at the bottom, not at the top.

The background looks good to me ^^.

Wow, they're really holding you down on this one. Maybe have them appear from both sides, with a low opacity. Can't tell if that's it or not. Just see if it looks good.

Well, they don't look 3D !

Try to fix that.

I once used this Tentacle tutorial: 3D Tentacles

It's very well explained and it gives you a very nice looking tentacle.

Afterwards you can always change colors/opacity and stuff like that.

Looks good to me, just change the color of the font and I think it might look better.
