I just got back in from taking my moms 96 Windstar for a ride. First time driving best thing in my life scary though. I got stuck in the middle of the road on top of a hill becuase the gears went screwy.

When I got in the mail lady was here and I almost ran her over lol .

So she started talking to me about driving becuase I said I was 16 (Being tall rocks!) she told me that my left brake light was out .(Oh sh*t number one) After that I tried starting it again to straighten the wheel out but I couldn't get the ignition Key to turn (OH f*ckING sh*t number two) and also the wheels locked up can somebody help me before my parents get home!?

Thank you quackaddict you just saved my life inlove.gif

Force the steering wheel the direction the tires are pointing now. At the same time turn the ignition key. This will work.

no more taking your parent's car out for joy rides

Looks at topic below this one. Maybe we ought to have a "Stoled my parents ride and broke ____ what should I do?" thread.

lol. No need mah man. Just glad to help.

The only thing that scared me when I "borrowed" my mom's car when my parents were gone was when I would park it in the garage, my parents would come home and go through the garage. It is a good thing they never heard the ticking sound a car makes as it's cooling down from a hard ride. tounge.gif

Our tahoe makes a loud clunk somewhere around the oil pan a few mintues after it has been shut off. Not sure why but it has done it ever since we bought it in 2000.

Do you not think your parents might notice it having more miles on it? Or less fuel? Or being hot, or not beign parked in the same way...

I'd watch your back if I were you tounge.gif

When I was 14, I was driving around alone. My dad let me too. He had a 2001 S500 at the time. He said if you get busted, he didn't know anything. It was so much fun.

"Lik wen I was sx I wood sit on my dads lp nd ster"

I think everyone has done something neat with their parents vehicles at one time or another. I have a list of things. I'm abiding by the "Do unto others as you would like to be done unto you". I don't post them because I know I don't like to read them.

There is a flipside to that quote. Think about it.

I spent 5 minutes parking it perfectly and my parents never pay attention to how much miles or fuel is in the car unless it says empty

I also parked it like an hour and half before they got back so I think it would cool down enough in that time.

I don't know about you but I would much rather see a productive, Vehicle oriented chat. I mean I would rather log on to ....

2000 Chevy Silverado should I buy?

My vehicle is sluggish and running hot

Paxton Superchargers? Good or not?

Than ....

Took out the minivan without a license and it broke

My mom camry is sooooo fast

Drove dad's GTO while he was on vacation

Maybe it's just me but I don't see the point of talking about illegal activities on a public forum. Yes stealing is illegal.

I was simply referring to the fact that the "golden rule" can actually turn out to be bad if someone wants to be treated badly.

i.e. "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you," woudn't work if that person is a masochist.

Anyway, as far as people telling stories about sh*t that they did with their parents car doesn't bother me. It usually makes me laugh. Laughing=Good Times.

Yeah, there are millions of other "better" topics to be had on this forum. I'm sure that we'll see them come around as time goes on. We can just weed through the lessor topics until then. No worries.

Posting sh*t on illegalities isn't that big of a deal yet. If someone posted step-by-step directions on how to steal a _____ car, I might get a little offended. But this so far hasn't been too bad.

I am sure that we've all been slammed and drove. We just won't be threadbearers on it. And, I don't think that this thread started with "I am so coooool! I stole mah mommies car!!!" either. So, until a bragging, consequence oblivious retard starts a thread like "Drunk Driveing on Asid is Teh Funist!," I'll keep my mouth shut.
