It's more powerful because it uses a higher caliber bullet (50AE if I remember correctly). Over here in England you must have your elbow against a wall when firing a Deagle in a gun range so you don't propell yourself backwards and break your arm. If you want a small profile on it, go here

A Magnum is so powerful because of it's calibur, It is the powerfulist hand gun in the world. It's like a shot gun, it makes holes the size of a tennis ball.

 

Desert eagles are powerful too but not as powerful as a magnum, the sheer noise of a magnum going off is deafing.

@tartey: yeah i was shooting a glock .40 in a range and the guy next to me had a 44 magnum. everytime he shot it, there was a bright light and a sound that drowned out all the other guns.

handguns do not have burst. only shotguns. but the speed of the bullet probably creates a much larger damage radius. oh and they probably can peirce a vest, but it would not be going very fast afterward

@ the first part: That is correct, although even if you do buy an automatic weapon it is illegal to shoot it without a special permit and it can only be shot at a target range set up specifically for those kind of weapons

 

 

About the 44. vs .50 magnum: The .44 is also a whole lot easy to handle i.e. you don't blow your arm off just shooting it. The .50 is just brutal to both the target and the shooter and thus not a wise weapon to be carrying(let alone how expensive it is to purchase ammo for it)

 

 

And about where you can carry a pistol: As long as you have a carry-conceal permit, you can hide you handgun pretty much anywhere you want. Even tucked into your pants like the movies(although it is not recommended for obvious hazard reasons like putting a bullet in your ass cheek, or worse...)

Yes it can pierce armour at a certain range. The bullet sort of bursts. Shotgun's bullets burst and it flys everywhere, a magnum's bullet hits one place. If i was to shot you at close range in the stomach, you'd fly back and have a big hole in ur stomach. The force of a magnum is what makes it deadly.
