pizza guy Posted August 25, 2005 Share Posted August 25, 2005 I have a copy of HL2 on DVD which I bought on week of release. <Yay> No problems at the time, and I was happily playing the game, I uninstall it to move it onto a bigger Hard Drive. Bang, not working. Constantly, time after time it kept saying that a file was missing from a sound cabinet on the DvD. I spoke to Vivendi, they said to update steam, which I did. No luck. Today, as I was browsing google search, I found a troubleshooting forum that suggested copying all the files onto a separate folder on my hard drive. Huzzah, it has worked!
