benzomatic Posted August 25, 2005 Share Posted August 25, 2005 HEY CAR GUYS...NEED AN OPINION....I HAVE A BEAUTY OF A MERCEDES 300SE 1988 MODEL W126 STRAIGHT LINE 6 CYLINDER......AT 70 MPH DOES ABOUT 3700 OR 3800 RPM SEEM TOO HIGH..?..ARE THESE ENGINES GEARED TO RUN AT THIS RPM ALL DAY..?..THIS SEEMS HIGH RPM TO ME, BUT I AM NEW TO OWNING A MERCEDES...IT DRIVES GREAT, A REAL CLASSIC..THANKS FOR YOUR OPINIONS..
