This mod is a total modification of GTA San Andreas, that concist in replacing all the textures of the cities, county, desert. (the whole map) We have started 1 year ago on Vice city, and we're now working on Sanan... The project is very ambicious and we need some guys who can speak french, and who have a high level in texturing/using Photoshop or else professionnal tool for editing. We need people who have a lot of time to work with us. But, as I'm not quite good in english to explain you in details the mod, I'll show you directly some picies, of the development and the lastest informations... Screenshots look great. Unfortunately, I'm not that good at texturing, but there are many people at this here forum who would like to help in a mod like this. EDIT: After looking at more screenshots, don't you think the textures are a little - too - detailed? Low - medium range systems will really struggle with this. Unfortunately, I'm not that good at texturing, but there are many people at this here forum who would like to help in a mod like this. 40% of the changed textures are 1024²px ones . The others textures are never under 512². We use hi-res textures to correct the Rockstar habits (ndlr: extend a lot too much the textures) The results are very good, and that's why the mod continues. The vice city ones never go up to 100% but I could make it for download if it needs. The vice ones, I have done All the airport and a big part of the docks. I could continue it, but, for the moment, i'm full time loaded with the Sanandreas mod. For PC specs, it's clear that you will need higher specs for playing the mod. But these new specs aren'ttoo far of the Rockstar's ones. We also work on LOD's and the mod is 6% finished for the whole Sanandreas Map, and is 29-30% finished for San Fierro. I'm going to try and start modding san andreas in the future, I've got a new comp coming soon(amd athlon 64 processor 2.4 ghz, 1400mhz front bus, 1 gb ram, 128mb vid card) I hope it can handle this mod! For the moment, the mad takes more than 100Mo for the SFSE + SFS and county zons. The else texures, more special textures comes from HalfLife2 and from Postal2 sometimes. That's only 20% of the whole texs. No one comes from the internet. We work certains modder with photographs. some pics of the golf, tunnel under it, and the SFS mountain, a part of the airport tunnel, and the airport itself : 63 64 65 66 67 68 69 70 71 72 73 74 75 76 77 78 79 80 81 82 83 84 85 86 87 88 89 90 These are not new screens. No. That's not in the checklist The whole map for the moment, perhaps new models for genric objects, and new buildings where there is some constructions. I am CERTAIN that they put their most useable foot forward. People have AA and FA to make things look better. Meanwhile, 100s if not 1000s of textures are being loaded and reloaded all the time. Less powerful PCs can handle it, so they reached a wider market. It was a business decision that represents one half of the coin. If you can't see how radically different SA looks compared to its predecessors... And in less time than them??? You CAN'T be serious. Are you rewriting all the code too? Are you remodeling the city as well? Are you tailoring the ped behavior and law enforcement AI in the engine from scratch? No offense to quality skinners, but the textures is the FINAL step. How things look is only important once you have it all working properly. You didn't mention before that you "borrowed" some textures, but it's pretty important. But not much at all... I think you don't really anderstood my post about Rockstar. If you wanna anderstand better, try to translate our website, you can find a complete description of the mod, in a language I handle perfectly for more precisions.
