nathan360
To all you Grand Theft Auto fans, I highly suggest using the Grand Theft Auto III game to brush up on your knowledge of Liberty City. If you are anything like me, you still remember the maps from having played so many hours of GTA3 already. In any case, if you want to be the quickest and most skilled driver when playing LCS, you can benefit from using GTA3 to memorize the mappings. Going back and playing GTA3 is very weird after playing San Andreas. Even Vice City feels outdated compared to the glory of San Andreas. One big difference between GTA3 and San Andreas is that, in the older game, the cars do not handle nearly as well. I highly recommend using a Banshee, Infernus, or Mafia Sentinel to cruise the streets and attack the corners. For those of you who are newbs, you can find a Banshee chilling at a car dealership in the NW section of the first island. So get your butt off the forums, go dust off your old GTA3 disc, and start burning rubber all over Liberty City!! It will pay off big time when you are finally graced with the next installment of Grand Theft Auto into your grubby little hands!! -Natedogg Edited August 15, 2005 by nathan360
tommyalma
Dude, for the amount of time I spent in Liberty City (where it was the only game I played for eight months), I could take a decade off and still find all 100 hidden packages. Now I just gotta finish San Andreas again before LCS comes out!
Thorpe
Liberty City is the smallest map is so easy to remember so it doesn't matter if I go back to it. However, hearing all the juicy gossip about Liberty City Stories really makes me feel like playing GTA III.
TheDude5000
I'd rather play GTA:LC, seeing as I'm preparing for LC-MP as well as LCS. I have to disagree, vehicles handled so much better in GTA 3 and VC, and I have full driving skills in SA...
Rob.
A good reason why Rockstar will set the new game b4 GTA3 is so that more ppl will buy GTA3 after they've played Liberty City Stories if they don't have it already. This is so ppl will see what happens after LCS
Canoxa
Wrong. First, because the map will change a bit. There will be new (or old?) cars. Not even the character is the same. And how do you train to drive bikes? And "Glory of San Andreas"? GTFO!

I played that for so many years to get the hold of SA play and it worked. So yeah that would be the best thing to do.
Rob.
To be honest i agree canoxa, i mean i see your point about practicing for LCS usin GTA3 becuase the map is similar.......but the whole point of LCS is that its a new game and so part of the challenge is learnin all the routes when u get the game. Also there will be new features in GTA: LCS than there were in GTA3. If anything LCS is trainin for GTA3 becuase its set b4 GTA3....but hey thats just my opinion jester

Kanney
I just came online and saw this topic, and the reason I came online was to get AR Max codes for GTA3!
Jasonlives
I'm going to play GTA3 and wonder how all of this "new" land mass in Shoreside Vale mysteriously dissapeared over the course of 3 years
Rob.
I reckon the land gets removed at the end of the game in a big bang at the last mission or something though of course this is presuming we start off in Po rtland and not somewhere different?? Games-master
I heard a rumour that the end mission to lcs involves an atom bomb but i don't believe it
MajorGlory
An atom bomb?!? That would probobly leave the whole city destroyed, not only that particular piece of island.
Rob.
The only thing is, when you have completed the game you won't be able to explore the new lanf becuase it wouldn't be there, meaning it would be just the same as GTA3 but in a different era So this would make people perhaps to not want to destroy the land and so therefore nor complete the game
dirtycopVCPD
I'm going to play GTA3 and wonder how all of this "new" land mass in Shoreside Vale mysteriously dissapeared over the course of 3 years Maybe Liberty City is below sea level and the landmass got flooded.
