Chunks
Well, this long-awaited and highly anticipated show has finally hit British screens, with the first two parts been shown on Channel 4 tonight. I missed the first 15 minutes of the pilot episode, but i am certain they will be showing it again sometime this weekend or next week. I watched the last 45 minutes of it though, and i think i have been hooked on the show. The good thing is, because there are so many people in the show, you find yourself watching it and trying to work out which one of the survivors most resembles you. I have to admit though, it started to get abit stupid, with a massive monster typing thing eating people and weather suddenly changing, but i don't think this will stop me from watching the show. What you lot think of it so far? Edited August 10, 2005 by Chunks

Goodfella.
I thought it was really good, great cast and performances, it's really good to see Dominic Monaghan on screen again, plus the dark unknown of the place with what's going on with whatever ate the pilot, and the message playing over for sixteen years I find really intriguing. Definatley something I'll go out of my way to watch each week. Oh and Chunks, are you Chunkey Munkey aka Long Haired Freaky Guy? [edit] Course it is, why the new account? pizza guy
Heh, must say I was very impressed. I was working, so missed the pilot, but have got the idea of what is happening from the episode after it.
Chunks
Sorry, i forgot to put the spoiler tags in my first post, but hopefully not alot of people saw my post before i edited it, if you did then i am sorry. It's just one of those that grabs you from the beginning because there are so many mysteries and you want to find them all out. @Dan, yes it is me on a new account. I decided to start yet a new account for absolutely no reason, seeing if i can get back into this forum without too many people remembering the old me, lol. jelly
warning: spoilers for later episodes aswell, not just the first ones. then again, noone is sure that the 'monster' is infact what most people think it is. some people theorize that it's some form of nano technology thing, which to me seems surprisingly (and disappointingly?) plausible, since the black clouds of smoke could seem like small swarms of nano bots, especially since there are no other good explanations for these clouds, with the exception of mutated mosquitos, of course. Swarz
I just saw Episode 3 on E4... so I might be a bit further than the rest of you British viewers, so I won't discuss it all. Looks good though from the first 3 episodes, and I'll certainly be watching it each week now. How far has the series progressed in the US? --- AMF --- -= A joke is a very serious thing - Winston Churchill =-
Brown Streak RR
There are like 3 topics on this show. lol. That's great the Brits finally get a peek. I know I can't wait for Season 2 to premeire over here in the U.S. Enjoy the show. Sometimes I found it frustrating not learning anything, but it's worth it. I think so anyway. Groovy
God I do not like this show. It seems to me like some sh*tty movie idea was rejected and they turned into a TV show.
Jordan
I watched every episode of season one and highly recommend it.

Andyzoot
Ah, it was only a matter of time before this topic was made. I saw Episodes 1 and 2 last night and from what I've seen so far I am definitely going to watch it next week for 3 reasons 1) What the hell is a Polar Bear doing on the island 2) What the hell is that creature 3)It's very very good. I'm looking forward to next week's episode. I'm also intrigued at what is up with the bald guy. Apart from having a James Bond Number 1 Scar he seems to be very calm and he was going to tell that kid something which we never got to hear. About the bald guy, you will later find out. Some interesting sh*t.
ADJ
I watched the first three episodes last night and found it really interesting. Yeah, there are too many characters, but I'm hooked.
JoeyLeone25
I think that bald guy is either a racist, I'm going back to when he was showing the kid Backgammon & he said "you can be black or white" in quite a menacing tone. Or he's a paedo & will kidnap the kid. Also somebody tell me, how the hell the dog survived? It would've been where all the luggage was in a cage & surely wouldn't have survived? Also, also, please for the love of god somebody who's seen the 1st Series tell me the 'monster' isn't something sh*te like King Kong that ruins the series. Andyzoot
So they've announced a second series and Michelle Rodriguez will be in this one. I don't really want any of the characters from the first series being a survivor in the second as that would be unrealistic. I reckon the second series might be a train crash in the middle of no where
AZAZEL
Har, we got it before zeh brits. We got the first season here in like, the beginning of 05 - or earlier? Don't remember. Awesome show indeed. Also looking forward to the second season. ~az

Uh... does Castaway count... albeit with only one character as opposed to 10 or so plus 30 extras? D Jones
Michelle Rodriguez is hot. It would be a weird place to start off, because 2 major things at the end was happening. I just want to see the damn new season, stop waiting so damn long.
pizza guy
Nanotechnological swarms? Unlikely, unless they paid Micheal Critchton Thousands of dollars to buy the rights to 'Prey'. Read the book, very very good.

I was expecting another ladder The nano sh*t was shot down by the director himself. The Security System is NOT Nanobots/Nanites/Clouds of tiny robots. I spent this morning reading all the spoilers since the yanks have seen the entire first season already. But I still basically know f*ck all more than everyone else. It's one of those annoying shows that goes 'oh hey a mysterious door!' and then spends the next 13 episodes (seriously) building up to opening it. I wonder how many seasons it'll take before all this sh*t gets explained. But still, I'll be watching it, every episode, and I love it already. It's so fresh and interesting and nothing like what I expected.

The dog belongs to the young African-American boy, Walt, who was on the plane with his father returning to the States. And you missed the first 15 minutes, which is like the coolest part when the plane goes down. I love this show, as I've said before. I can't wait for Season 2.
