Fast Hitman level without cheats

Hi,

I've recieved a lot of help from the GTA forum and I wanted to give some back, probably everybody here knows this trick but here goes anyway.......

I hate using cheats in SA 'cause it messes up the experience but I was getting close to start using 'em 'cause it was taking forever to level up my weapons skill, my favourite killing spot is a huge mall in Downtown Los Santosand the best part is that it has a juice machine in it meaning whenever you get shot up bad by the cops you can just run to the machine and recover your health and also a paint shop near by, it has a Train Hard Billboard near it ( I wanted to post a map with driving instructions to the mall 'cause its such a great place to shoot cops up but couldn't find a 'regular' map pic with place names on it ) ..

Anyway, I used to spend hours there shooting up stuff but my weapon skill pointer just edged along, then I started shooting at the police helecopters and the weapon skill gauge just went berserk... apparently GTA SA places the helecopters in the highest echelon when it comes to shooting stats, I maxed out my machine pistol and pistol stats in about 100 minutes, will start working on others later.... Hope this helps out even one player.

ps: Here's the somewhat lame map sarcasm.gif

If you just hit persons and helicopters with out missing a bullet your weapon skill will jump.

Your idea is very god for that but you can also use the gang wars to improve your skils fast like for example when i got to the missions los desesperados the only weapons that i had a poor weapon skill were shotguns and pistols so in the gang wars I only use pistols and shotguns.

I always increase my weapon skill at the garage in SF.

when the cops shoot you and a chopper comes etc. , you can run to the save icon, and you will have full health and no cops.

you can do this too at the four dragons.

ammu-nation challenge works too.

You guys are making this way too hard.

Park any car, or two, in one of your house garages.

Get close enough that the door stays open.

Shoot the car until it starts to flame

Back away until the door closes and the car is magically repaired.

Step forward until door opens and do it again.

Since you are shooting your own car and it never blows up, you never get wanted stars. Since you never miss, it goes pretty fast. As I remember it, it takes about 5 to 10 minutes, depending on the weapon.

Some guns shoot faster when you crouch.

With two cars you can get fancier. Say it takes 14 shots of one of the guns to make a car flame. Shoot the first car 13 times, then shoot the second one 14 and pop the last one into the first so you can shoot the maximum number of shots before stepping back and cycling the door.

Weapon stats go up pretty quickly when you play the ammunation target challenges too.

I agree with the helicopter point from the thread starter. I found my stats went crazy when shooting at it.

Shooting at the gaslid will also boost your skills. But since this takes some time, the best way is like phriedom said, shooting cars in your garage.

Honestly, I don't really care much about weapon stats in-game. As I progress and shoot my way through the storyline, my weapon skills increase without any struggle.

Plus, I don't like dual weapons feature when you reach Hitman level, because it messes up the accuracy and reload times are way longer due to two guns.

Congratulations on finding a thread that is 10 years old to bump... :sigh:

The garage method is fine, but you can use any car you find and park it a bit out of the way so you don't draw cop/gang attention.

Shoot at one tire until you become hitman. No explosions, no blood and no mess.

Also: A hit is a hit and CJ don't get hitman faster by shooting at Police Mavericks. It takes the same number of hits regardless. The only thing that's different, is that CJ earn respect faster by wasting cops and drug dealers. So if you practice shooting with them as target, you increase two stats simultaneously.
