Here's what it will do ( hope it works 4 me too )

 

ADDITIONS

-----------

 

- Added support for 720p and 1080i HDTV resolutions (may also do 1080p, not sure).

 

- Version Number displayed on game title screen.

 

 

BUGS FIXED

------------

 

- Issue fixed on machines where the OS has been updated (one OS installed over top of another) and has 2 registry keys that point to the users "My Documents" folder (we incorrectly used to assume the Win2000 folder, now correctly uses the last installed OS folder) - users know this as "user account period bug".

 

- Crash when entering advanced display options with only 32 meg of video ram (32 meg of video ram is not supported and will only allow use of 640*480 in 16 and 32 bit. At this resolution it is likely you will see the "Black Roads" LOD problem). We do NOT however disallow machines with 32 meg of video ram from running GRAND THEFT AUTO: San Andreas.

 

- Crash when entering advanced display options on a dual monitor machine after :- starting game on primary monitor in maximum resolution, exiting, starting again in maximum resolution on secondary monitor. Secondary monitor maximum resolution had to be greater than maximum resolution of primary monitor.

 

- Destroyed cars now are correct colour.

 

- Dirty cars now able to get clean.

 

- Numpad 5 key is now mappable when re-defining controls.

 

- Issue on all machines where certain collisions caused parts of the audio system to crash (sound effects, cutscene audio - only radio keeps going) - users know this as "Rain / Thunderstorm bug".

 

- Improvements to DVD streaming.

 

- Audio problems in interior / exterior transitions and getting in / out of cars fixed.

 

- Some fixes to ensure reverb is not present at certain save points.

 

- Improvements to dance game timings.

 

- Crash occuring when using "user radio files" while the frame limiter is disabled.

What does the patch do?

 

The patch will prevent the removed scenes from being accessed even if attempts are made to install the "Hot Coffee" modification. Installing the patch on the modified version of the game may cause errors during gameplay, please reinstall the game and then protect it using the patch.

 

Looks like all they did was make the scenes inaccessable. Nice

Don't bother, they're rectorical. The Hot Coffee mode was not a bug!

Gee, really? Thanx for the heads-up man! don't know what i would have done without 'cha. I don't give a s*it about the hot coffee(i know it's a mod, not a bug), i was reffering to the crashes, sound problems, etc. But duh...

Hoo-'kin-rah! At last, the PC can do what PS2 owners have had all along.

 

Who gives a flying whatever for Hot Coffee anyway? I was just an annoying extra which made the whole getting-100%-with-a-girlfriend thing more of a long winded time consuming pain in the girls butt anyway.

Can anyone confirm if mods besides 'Hot Coffee' are affected?

Actually before I get too excited about this, could any of you pioneers take a moment to see whether it prevents installation of ANY mod? I'm thinking of the up coming Multi Theft Auto but if it knocks out any of the current mods then it's a bad sign...

Here are the game files it contains:

eax.dll (not changed)

gta_sa.exe (it is considerably smaller, 8.7 MB)

ogg.dll (not changed)

stream.ini (not changed)

vorbis.dll (not changed)

vorbisFile.dll (not changed)

main.scm (not changed)

script.img (not changed)

All but one are not changed according to the date and file size.

 

All progress on what's in it will be made here.

 

#1 - Anything that hooks onto the EXE (d3d9.dll) will f*ck up the game.

 

#2 - The menu is now different:

 

#3 - The gta_sa.set will be resetted. So any changes you did before will have to be changed again. And all old gta_sa.set will not be compatible.

 

#4 - My All In One Mod for San Andreas seems to work perfectly in the game. Haven't tested the "Hot Coffee" part of my mod yet.

 

#5 - CARS STAY DIRTY IN LOW FX QUALITY! You need to set FX quality to medium and above for the cars to be clean.

 

#6 - The black roads glitch is still there!

 

#7 - Dancing is improved. It is now easier to get a good and a few perfect.

 

#8 - A charred car won't reflect the sun anymore. So it'll look charred.

 

#9 - Motion blur is improved.

 

#10 - Escalators still won't make CJ move.

 

#11 - There are still no phases of the moon.

 

#12 - Distant cars having no specular lighting is still there!

 

#13 - MOST MODS STILL WORK IN THE GAME!

 

#14 - Old saved games still work.

 

#15 - All current trainers for San An doesn't work.

 

#16 - IF YOU ENTER THE DRY HUMPING MINIGAME, THE GAME WOULD LOCK!

Yea, that's how. I tried using the Newsvan and got into the Pay n Spray. But the stains are still there!

nahh... unles you have a 32mb card... but the comunity already fixed that... achualy i think this is the lamest thig R* have ever done...

 

only one thing so far of the upgrades i have tested turned out to be true: the num5 key... HURRAY (or not)...

 

i think R* have NO RESPECT AT ALL FOR THEIR FANS... remember tow famus R* quotes:

'Most' and 'still'. Not all still work, and they already worked beforehand.

but there is no reason for installing the pach unless:

 

1) you have a 32mb card

 

2) you are a dancer!

Not true, this fixes tons of bugs but still, I probably wont install because you said d3d9 things will screw it up and I can't have that. I use dx hooks all the time.
