a sig

Well I busted out the photoshop to make a sig for like the first time in at least a year. And I decided to change up the style and try something new but still simple.

So tell me what you think I could do to improve it and whatnot. smile.gif

Decreased glow and a couple of small changes:

Yep, me as well. Less opacity on the grid (Right hand corner) and a little less glow. If you can change font position then that would add a bit of + to it. I like it the way ti is though, so well done.

yeah, moving the text up a pixel wouldn't hurt. although, decreasing the glow would have roughly the same effect (increasing the distance between the font & the wavy lines). i like the grid just how it is.

edit: on second thought, the text might look good over on the right, vertically centered notify.gif

I decreased the glow on the waves and also dropped the opacity of the grid by 5%. I think it looks better.

Depends what program you're using.

Photoshop:

New 5 x 5 pixel image

Use the magic eraser to make the background transparent.

Use the pencil tool to stroke the right, and bottom edges.

Edit -> Define Pattern

Then go to what image you want to have them and CTRL + A, Edit -> Fill Patterns then select your pattern.

Pretty tight sig.

Are you going to add another burst thingy where the line's cross again? Plus i think a pixel font would look better.

@Silent M-Why use the eraser to get rid of te background when you can start off with a transparant background from the beginning?

I'd say that it looks a little empty. It might be improved it you make the gridlines go a little more to the left, to fill up that blue space between the lines.

I think the one you are wearing now looks best soo far.

i was thinking the same thing about the grids, and i'm glad you got rid of the little exploding type thingy on the left...

I always thought the expoldey thingy's had potential to look cool.

You can start with a transparent image. Why make it more complicated? smile.gif

Cool sig, though.

Yeah, I guess I forgot about that. I can't say I'm too fond of the sig though, I'm not sure why. Maybe it's the font.
