Hi! I have an GTA San Andreas modification idea, but I'm not skilled enough to make it. Some parts of this mod are already done by others, but I was thinking of joining them together, and release as a mod pack. So there's my idea, I hope the Modders will be intrested.. (sorry for my poor english) smile.gif

 

Mod Compilation Idea (this should work on version 1.00 of SA)

 

Mod should include the features:

(AM means "already made by someone")

 

-Hot cofee 2.1 (but girlfriends should not be available from begining) (AM)

-Dual wield all pistols, sub-machines and sawn-off shotguns, skateboard replacing cane (already done by me)

-CJ can make drive-by's with pistols, forward shooting in car, like on bike (thru front window)

-Sa Opened up (no wanted stars) + All Shops open and fully equiped from the begining + Longer "Wrong Side Of The Tracks" Mission (AM)

-Vehicles needs petrol (15$ per unit, train does not need fuel) + speedometer, petrol bar, damage bar (AM)

-Give n' take (AM)

-CJ can command friendly gang members after missions when their leaders becomes your friends (Triads,Varios Los Aztecas)

-Spike strip dropable from police cars (3) (AM)

-New law units spawn when wanted (Swat tank, Patriots, Fbi trucks, Hunters) some of them bullet proof

-Get CJ High and drunk (modified) effects expires when you hold space for 2 sec. (AM)

-Extended buying:

 

a) some meele and all heavy weapons buyable at Ammunation (nightstick , visors, brassknuckle, knife, katana and heavy ones), teargas and molotov added to throwable

b) Gifts available at sexshops (exept cane, more enterable sexshops),

c) box of cigarettes, cigars, beer and liquor buyable at 24-7, disco's and bars

d) food held in hand when eating (pizza piece, hamburger, chicken, donut)

e) donuts buyable at donutshops (every one enterable)

f) weed joint buyable at drug dealers, (when you hit "y" answer, cost 100$) slows the game down

g) you may buy skateboard (repleces cane), spray can, golf club, pool stick, baseball bat at pro laps, suburban, victim and bianco

h) when you drink something your fat decreases (diet need no more!)

i) map icons for new shops (including gas stations)

 

-more colors for cars (exept police, ambulances, firetrucks, taxis, planes, trains etc.) (AM)

-(school) missions skip and mini games skip button

-unflip car mod + bike steed mod (AM)

-special clothing bonuses: never wanted wearing copsuit, health regenerate wearing medicsuit, sexappeal boost wearing pimpsuit, stamina boost wearing ruralsuit, driving skills boost wearing racing uniform

-infinite time in vigilante (AM)

-prostitutes will "ask" you instantly, when you stop and hit the "horn" button

-slow down game clock 5 times (AM)

-all pay n spray garages repleced with transfender (you may still change your car color in there)

-hunter should have mouse controlled machinegun and stinger launchers (like hydra)

-CJ's san fierro chop shop is open and works the same way as transfender after "puncture wounds" mission

-wang cars asset available from the begining (AM)

-unique vehicles spawn in traffic more often (rural vehicles in rural map regions, industrial cars in industrial regions etc.) (AM)

-more "spicy" car shakin sounds (you know when it shakes biggrin.gif )

-2 player missions (AM)

-dead car drivers and passangers bodies dont fall out of car, they must be removed by CJ before entering it

-remove gameplay tutorial boxes (optional)

-pool stick will not replace your meele weapon after finished game, instead it will be always available near the pool table

-CJ may rob peds and shop salers. He must aim the ped then pressing "y" will increase "bet", pressing "n" decreases it. "Bet" amount is displayed in black box, when you release the aim, robbing is over, money transfered and wanted lvl increased. The more cash you rob, the higher is the wanted level. Salers have much more money than ordinary ped. Max wanted lvl after robbery is 4 stars.

-entering ambulance heals you, police car gives you kevlar, pizzabike increases your fat (you eat the pizza!) etc

-new gang territories in SF and LV (exept friendly gangs)

-hook behind some (randomly generated) city traffic, like the one in the rear of the tracktors. Useful for transport outfueled vehicles to petrol stations

-CJ's helicopters and planes shouldn't instantly blow up, instead they should get burning and fall down without control, then crash (just like shooted down police ones). It gives some time to parachute and save yourself.

-ability to clean your car up in the car washers (like in 1.01 patch, should cost 15$ or so). If the car is dirty, CJ gains less sexappeal for "owning" it. wink.gif

-EVERY shop and institution (police, hospital, bars, strip clubs, everything!!) displayed on the map (hidden ones no more), many new enterable buildings

-CJ's lockpicking/car stealing skill

-Taxi/Pizza calling on request

-CJ should "make a dump" in the toilet (for loosing fat), but once a day only (no animations needed)

-Ability to climb the ladders

-the fire shouldn't spread during raining but instead it should extinquish quite quickly.

-ability to sit and rest (Viscera's idea, My idea was the time warp)(AM)

-buying food in the Drive Through (may be only one type)

-it should be possible to replay EVERY mission (some people like action packed, some racing ones...)(AM)

-make some missions more realistic and easier for ex. why should I bother landing in the end of "Freefall" or "N.O.E" ??

-ability to date the stranger girls (for details see the post)

 

I hope someone will make it becouse I think it's fun packed !!! colgate.gif

I was thinkig about the heli magnet addition, cuz it may be useful for transporting immobiled vehicles to the petrol stations, but i come to conclusion that it's too buggy and in some cases - unrealistic. sly.gif

Get CJ High and drunk unmodified is even more unrealistic, becouse the high/drunk effect NOT expires after time or press of a button. So I think it should expire when the player want to - after button press. Timed expiring is also an option (more realistic), but "on wish" turning off is more convenient. cool.gif

Maybe spike strip drop from police cars is also not very realistic but it could be very funny to see the effects of being "cop" on the other car users. At the moment I have no idea of making spike strip drop more realistic than that. Maybe You have?? If so, share it !! sly.gif

have spike strips as a 1 handed weapon so you can drop it in-and-out of cars.

I already made "dual wield all pistols, sub-machines and sawn-off shotguns, skateboard replacing cane" (Thanks to "Dual wield all weapons" and "Skateboard replacing shovel" mods), but my version has skateboard replacing cane (stupid thing I might add). biggrin.gif

For orginal mod authors: DONT WORRY, I did not released it (I didnt asked authors for permission).

 

One more thing. Hand held stingers probably will look wierd, and will occupy one weapon slot (My precious!!). Also the question is where it should spawn??

Spawn in Police Stations and put in the slot with night-vision/thrown weapons.

Interesting. Maybe someone will make it. But I think that if there are car-dropped stingers in "puncture wounds" mission (is this realistic?), why shouldn't it be in police car?? Or maybe someone should edit the "puncture wounds" mission and remove dropped spikes?? tounge2.gif

Brilliant, and we should also remove the plane from NOE! Infact lets take something out of every mission that makes it impassible!

Just kidding.. So we came to conclusion that if there's something unrealistic in San Andreas, but made by R*, it's ok. If there is something unrealistic in mods, it s*cks... dozingoff.gif

Remember, reality is reality, and games may only by REALISTIC, NOT REAL, becouse there are some restrictions (fun factor for example). So I think that car droppable stingers will be the best for fun! They dont occupy weapon slot, they are mobile, and may be used only if you capture a cop car (use your "enemy's" weapon against him - that's the fun! wink.gif ). I'm not happy seeing huge things "launched" from CJ's a*s... sneaky2.gif

 

 

I see that some of You are very interested with this mod idea, that make me very happy. Make the modders interested too !! wink.gif

This seems rather pointless, almost every aspect of GTA is unrealistic.

 

BTW are you goning to lock parked cars' doors?

Sorry, but I do not know what is useful in locking parked car doors. I know that there are mods thats locks doors when you are in the car (so the cops cannot open it and drag you out), but I consider it cheating. (I KNOW, mission skip button is also a cheat but it's fun friendly. You dont have to spend 6 hours doing "Learn to fly" tasks.) wink.gif

This mod is about realism, Yes, but as i said few replies higher there are some restrictions to that. The main one is fun, the other usefulness. And I consider locking car doors in GRAND THEFT AUTO, not only useless, but even totaly ridiculous !! confused.gif

How about you see him picking the lock, realistic and it won't piss people off that they can't get into parked cars.

Yes, but that requires new model animations (probably hard to made). But I was thinking about "lock picking" skill for CJ. At the beginning CJ should only have access to on road vehicles (hijacking), but after few minutes of gameplay he will be able to steal locked parked cars. The higher the skill level, the better (more expensive) cars he will be able to steal. biggrin.gif

Although the idea is quite good, It probably will make some missions impassible. (on lower "skill" levels, you can't for example enter sweet's car - cuz its parked and locked) cryani.gif

I really like the petrol idea, and I think it's makeable. It would require some work to put all gas stations into business, and I would have to do changes in the text file, but I think I could do it. Cars could display a random gas level as you enter, and big expensive cars could guzzle it faster than slow family cars, also depending on how hard you drive them.

The only big problem I can think of is to make the game remember the gas level in a car when CJ leaves it and still remove the car if he never returns to it. If cars don't disappear the game will eventually crash, and there might not be any traffic on the streets. That's how it worked in Vice anyway (after 5 cars!! suicidal.gif ), I haven't tested the limit in SA.

So, if anyone can think of a way to have the game "forget" cars without removing their references once CJ leaves them, please tell me and I'll see what I can do.

I've been thinking about the gas mod, and came to the conclusion that it is possible to make, but probably not worth the effort because it would cause more problems than fun. It could totally screw up any kind of mission. For instance, it would really suck to enter your escape car with a 4 star wanted level and find the tank nearly empty, and I don't have the patience to go through every mission in order to prevent this from happening. Besides, it would use alot of memory unless there is a way to remove references from a car and still keep some kind of stat or high numbered flag tied to it that won't affect its handling or health.

Yes, Toby the petrol script is already made (Back to reality mod, AK mod or Ultimate San Andreas mod), but I was thinking about joining it together with other mod scripts to make one main.scm file containing all the best mods (in my opinion). I will edit my first post right now and add "already made" flag to the mod features that are already made by someone.

 

But your (Toby) scripting skills may be very useful for making the "Reality mod pack" by joining the codes of other authors (if you will have the authors permissions of course) and doing the parts that aren't done yet. colgate.gif

Yo, I have new mod feature idea: if you are near the road and press TAB+conv. Yes, CJ draws his cell phone and calls the taxi. The taxi then spawns on the road near CJ and blue arrow indicates that he waits for him. Pressing enter will get CJ in the car, then key locations list will appear in greybox (about 10 depending on city/region). Select one of them to get there (cost 100$). There is such a feature in Vice City in one of the missions and it works great.

 

Usefulness: used as "teleporting device" without any exterior program. alien.gif

 

Also pressing TAB+conv. No ,would call the pizzaboy, then the red circle will spawn near him. When CJ enter the circle he eats the pizza and pays 10$. Pizzaboy drives away...

 

Usefulness: When you're starwing "in the middle of nowhere", the food will come to you cookie.gifbiggrin.gif

 

How's that?

i would love for this mod to get done, but the chances of anyone doing it are very rare, because this is a huge mod that would be hard to fit together, but if anyone makes it, then that will be tight. good luck.

The problem is that I dont have straight contact with anyone skilled enough. But if You (SA fans) will make this mod idea loud in the net, your request will probably be heard, and mod made by some modders team. If you know someone with reserve of free time and strong will to make it, please sent them the link to this topic.
