Doom 3 is one of the most shallow games out there - zero story, zero substance, and plenty of excellent graphics to cover that up. The first one's gameplay was also questionable, with all the monsters spawning behind you for cheap thrills. The expansion pack fixed that and was more forgiveable overall, but I still feel as if those games are so shallo they don't deserve to be on any top5 lists Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I feel id failed us with Doom 3. But that's just my opinion that's reserved for me. Don't touch it - it's plugged into a high-voltage outlet. I agree with everything you say there, but isn't it funny how a game with cheap thrills and nil story can still be tons of fun to play. My list: 1. Deus Ex 2. Operation Flashpoint 3.
