Armax is different from both as the codes are a totally different encryption. I like codebreaker because its so easy to convert codes and such, seeing as it accepts raw hexadecimal. WellsMcK Posted August 10, 2005 Share Posted August 10, 2005 When I went to BestBuy yesterday I got AR Max (NTSC) for 30 Bucks its great. Gameshark two was 40 bucks. They didn't have any Xploder or Codebreaker. Are all of them just discs. Because theres no need to call them a cheat system(I ead they are cheat systems).There were also better reviews for Action Replay Max and Codebreaker than Gameshark. How much money you want spend. I wasnt sure where to get a codebreaker so I got an AR Max since it is the next cheapest to that.lKrispyl its your choice and your money. You can also try them out. Codebreaker, Gameshark/XPloder, ARMax Codebreaker is great, takes RAW, and has a lot of extra features. Gameshark/XPloder also takes RAW, but lacks a lot of the features of Codebreaker. ARMax sucks. It won't take RAW, not everything can be converted to ARMax format, the features are crippled, the codes are much longer, and it's slow. lol i could not have said it better my self lol ya armax would be a great Divice if they did not use that encryption they had and just went with raw .. they have a crap load of codetypes .. some of witch we dont even know yet .. but the lack of Raw codes and the need to patch games .. is well a pain in the ass .. if they where to come out with a divice that took raw and had the amount of codetypes that they have .. then they would give other divices a run for there money .. but they dont and well to be honest there encryption sucks .. to me u just wasted that 30$ i would have picked up a GS for the 40$ even thought it dont have that great of a support at the actual Gameshark site .. there is more support for user codes then what armax has since user codes normaly start in raw making it so the user dont have to convert the codes to an encryption .. i my self own all 3 NTSC cheat divices . Codebreaker 9 Gameshark 3.1 Armax the only divice i use is Codebreaker .. it is by far the best .. but if i had to i would use the GS befor i would use the armax ..
