poony128screw
Is it really that much better (or better at all) than GTA3 and VC? Considering that I can buy both of them together for half of what San Andreas costs

Tsuroki
Is it really that much better (or better at all) than GTA3 and VC? Considering that I can buy both of them together for half of what San Andreas costs If you are budget consciencious and have yet to play GTA3 or Vice City, get the Double Pack before you go out and purchase San Andreas. The games get relatively more in-depth and complex as they progress, and there are many inside jokes/easter eggs/references to both GTA3 and Vice City within San Andreas. SA will mean much more to you if you've already completed GTA3 and Vice's storyline missions. Is San Andreas better than the past two games? Certainly. It's a gargantuan size in comparison to 3 and Vice, has a wider selection of vehicles, a longer storyline, and more stuff to do. However, like I said, you won't get the full benefit of San Andreas unless you've played the other two games. Also keep in mind that the other two games are a few years old, hence the cheaper price tag.

Then when after price drops for SA go grab it. If you are not worried about price that much then you have to know that VC wasnt that big a jump in size compared to GTA3. But SA was a huge jump. Also if you dont have alot of time on your hands it will take forever to get anywhere on SA. The other two you can complete over a more satisfying amount of time. If you are a home bound couch potatoe, you will finsih both GTA 3 and VC in prolley a week.
F-s-X
ANd it is also a decition on what settings and type you want. Personly I really enjoyed GTA3 more than SA. Because of the settings and awesome gameplay. And also said that if you play GTA3 and VC first you will understand more things in SA and problably enjoy it more. I find it sad that there isn't many new players who have played GTA3.
GritSandWiches4Breakfest
Don't have GTA SA before the other two because if you do you might think the other 2 are not as good like: graphics, etc. Trust me. Also, SA has many things you saw in the other 2 that you need to know before playing SA.
