TheDude5000
Most of us know that Vice City was originally featured in GTA 1. But the PS2/XB/PC version was obviously the better one, and most say that VC is better than SA. VC was great, but imagine if they were to remake it again for next gen systems. GTA: Vice City '83 Before Tommy Vercetti took the town by storm, Vice City was a different place. The Cuban Crime Wave is at an all time high, and the haitains are moving into the scene. They both challenge the biker gangs of Vice, it is up to you, Mitch Baker to take your bikers to victory, and rule the streets. The game would be next-gen of course, so Vice City itself would be expanded immensely(think half life-source, but on a much huger scale), and there would be alot more locations culled from Scarface. There would be alot of new weapons, vehicles, even surfboards, and you can finally swim in that beautiful water. Boll Weevil
That would be cool... imagine a bigger Miami feeling city to explore and better missions, and maybe even some characters from other games. PS3 Vice City anyone? It's not gonna happen though...
simps
It's not gonna happen though... I think he's right. R* will probably not concentrate on remaking any of their old games. They'll be more concerned about making the next GTA. There's not much of a point to remake it. It's not like you're going to throw out your PS2/XB/PC. You can always play it. Future generations will probably get the game handed down from father or something or maybe e-bay.
TheDude5000
I think a much better idea is to have an entirely new game in VC. Preferably before '86. First post updated.
simps
They could have it, but it would be like a PSP version. For example, Liberty City Stories.
TheDude5000
It seems to me that almost all the fans prefer VC, so I'm sure it would be a good thing to remake Vice City's map, expand it to include more Miami based area's, have an entirely new story line, alot of new things, people would love it, and a killer soundtrack means it would outsell Halo 2 and SA. EL BENSON
that would be sweet if they remade it, with all those places i heard about on the radio, like that old persons farm would be sweet to find, plus height restrictions would be gone, so that would make it even better
YeTi
I think they should leave vc were it is. They rounded up the story nice and left the city peaceful (well maybe not). But if they were going to go back to vc they wouldn't be able to add much because it would render the original vc null and void. The storyline just wouldn't make sense anymore. R.I.P. montanaman
Yea, id love a remake of vice city. Only I was thinking of something more like this... GRAND THEFT AUTO: THE FALL OF VICE 9 years after Tommy Vercetti's takeover of Vice City, Danny Forelli, of the Forelli brothers, arrives at Vice City from Liberty to avenge his uncle, Sonny Forelli. Tommy Vercetti has corrupted Vice City to the bone, bribing politicians and local gangs. He even got the police on his side. Now, Vice City is a Slum. Not only will Danny try to avenge his uncle but he will try to restore Vice City to it's former glitz and beauty. But Haitian, Cuban, and Biker gangs as well as corrupt authorities stand in his way. This could be the fall of beauty. The fall Freedom. The fall of Vice. Like it??
EL BENSON
thats a good story, but i would miss the 80's vice city.

EL BENSON
yeah, but that was one of the things i think people liked so much, but then again i would like a presesnt day vice if it would be remade and not be in the 80's
Southern Finest
I bet your one of those people who think everything should be like san andreas also.
TheDude5000
This wouldnt render VC obsolete. This would be an entirely new storlyline, would take place before '83, would have different music, and would be huge, since it would be next gen. Superilldude
New trilogy, nothing from the last GTA's will be in the next GTA other then a character come back like Claud (Dun no name for sure) in SA from LC and that's a far chance.
TheDude5000
R* was originally planning on including most of LC in SA, but ditched it. I dont see why a next gen GTA couldnt include VC in some form or another.
D Jones
Isn't this the wrong forum to talk about the next GTA? I could be wrong. But anyways, I wouldn't mind if R* transfered GTA Vice City from Ps2 to PS3. Wouldn't effect me, it would look hella' lot better. But I don't think they will re-make it in there, would be nice though.
Spuds725
I think its fine here, I will move this if the next GTA ends up being set in VC. I know the topic has drifted some, but the subject is to discuss VC remake possibilities not the next GTA. GTA_kev
Excuse me but that's the worst idea I ever heard. Vice City is already perfect the way it is, it's a classic that should never be touched.
TheDude5000
What I meant was to add to the perfect game, the dialogue wouldnt be changed, the story, the script. But the game's soundtrack could be expanded, as well as the map, and the vehicles in it, being able to climb, swim, and more. The game would also look amazing, as its next-gen of course. Yankees
what i think would be cool is if somebody would make a map mod, that makes the original 3 cities from gta 1, like take the 2 d version and make it 3d, thatd be kick ass. kinda like a vc remake so this is on topic i know thatd be a huge, long, time consuming mod but it would pwn hardcore
