Monitor57 Posted August 4, 2005 Share Posted August 4, 2005 hey guys, i was asked by Mercie to make a Usas 12.. and so i did, this is the outcome, its my 1st ever gun i have attempted to model and comes out at 2948 poly's but is quite detailed it shall be ingame soon and mercie is providing the gun stats for it, hopefully she will be putting it ingame aswell.. as i dont have the time. speaking of time, it took me 4 hours to make midnite to 4 am. - M57 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Silent Viper Posted August 4, 2005 Share Posted August 4, 2005 wow, damned ugly gun but even more damned sexy model, for a first try get 15 of 10 points But I'd suggest, for barrels and so on, go with 12 stacks, that wont waste polys and is good if you want to add things ,directly connected to the barrel, that wont take seperate objects ... Also next time, I'm not sure, I never really looked for USAS12, but the carrying handle seems a bit to slim, even on AR15 rifles its atleast 2 fingers thick ... Anyway, that USAS looks frickin' cool! iv been modelin since i was 13. so it comes from my skill really, i used no tutorials to make it but my own self knowledge in 3ds max 6, its just iv never made a gun before and well here it is.. the gun is now ingame, and i am waiting to recieve it from Mercie, when i have i will post some screens and maybe a dl link - M57 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Mercie Posted August 5, 2005 Share Posted August 5, 2005 Just a few screenies of the drum version. I have both models (the Drum version and the Magazine version) ingame. I am working on getting the lower skill level to have the 10 shot magazine and the highest skill level to have the 28 round drum. Now, the weapon.dat file seems to be either or, not both. So, I'll bet this will not be released until either we have figured out how to do just that, or we figure out it is indeed, imposssible. But still, a lotta fun to play with.
