NUTZ_J98
I did my first hard paint job and it was really easy. Simple single tone with nice graphic on hood. Problem is it took me forever to find the hood. I could only use a car with a optional paintjob so I more to look at and get a clue. Is there an easier way to do this? Maybe a tutorial on just mapping the skin. I am not a 3D modeler but would use it to creat temp. This is what took me over 2 hours and really shouldnt. This sudden craze for repainting without trying to find out how uvw works blows my mind o_o Sorry it blows your mind but I have altered textures on alot of racing sims and never had the system set up like this. You could simply open the in game texture and could tell where things were to be placed. I simply played GTA games till recently. I will use your suggestions though and try to figure this out and save me some time and also this will help add detail to my work. Later that day............ Ok I have went through a bunch of stuff on UV mapping and I fully understand it. I also see why R* didnt go through the process of leaving us a decent template for each vehicle. Geez the work. This does make me appreciate the other games I play a little more since every single object or vehicle is already mapped to be easily modded. Here is the finished project now and will try some more detailed stuff after I perfect this mapping. Edited August 4, 2005 by NUTZ_J98
